Pleasant staff and easy transaction. The only downside was the offer on CARWOW was for similar car for £1000 less(loss leader).

First time experience buying a car without seeing it first, just the pictures and details on the Web. Phone conversations worked well and having paid up front (having checked it wasn't a scam as best as possible) the car was exactly as I expected. Thanks to Graham Whitaker for his help.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Awful garage and even more awful service! I unfortunately cannot say anything good about this place. I unfortunately gave them the benefit of the doubt after a poor experience with a car previously but the service this time actually put did that by far. Firstly your practically forced into buying a car...I have never gone to a garage and driven away in a car that very day! To then receive a phone call nearly a week later saying it needed to go back in for a health and safety check as it hadn't yet had one there! I think that alone speaks for itself. I think the staff need training aswel being as I wanted to put my private plate on said car, was told I would be able to but then when it came to doing it I could not as it would be making the car 6 months newer than it actually was! You would think a garage would know this? Or just another ploy to convince me to have the car...more likely so! To the receive the most appalling aftercare I have ever known. 5 times they had my car to sort an issue and even then it still wasn't sorted fully! To the point where 2 of my doors came open whilst driving! It really says something when you call head office though and say you wish to try the Peterborough branch (apparently specialists for my make of car) and the member of staff infact said you think Grantham is bad for investigating things Peterborough is far worse!! Thankfully the car has gone back for good and safe to say I will never set foot back there again! Be warned people, they are good at clawing you in but then your just another sale after that and won't be looked after in the slightest!

My car-buying journey with Stoneacre Stoke has been nothing short of a nightmare. It began in January 2024, when I purchased a car online out of desperation, trusting their promise of delivery within a week. This promise was quickly broken, and after three weeks, I was told they were waiting for parts. Meanwhile, my first car finance payment was due despite not having the car! When I requested a refund for my £3,000 deposit, they flatly refused and pushed me to accept a different car that was “ready to be delivered.” The second car was delivered with rust and strange noises, making it completely unacceptable. I rejected it with evidence and was then offered a third car, as they refused to refund my deposit. This third car arrived in February 2024, but to my disbelief, the engine management light came on immediately. I reported the issue, drove 90 miles back to Stoke for repairs, only to have the issue reappear within hours of leaving the dealership. This cycle of repairs and engine management lights repeated, requiring me to take time off work and endure the stress of repeated 90-mile trips, all while Stoneacre continued to fail to resolve the issue. Eventually, they suggested I lose my deposit completely and pay an additional £2,000 for yet another car. Both offers were unacceptable, as they sold me a faulty vehicle in the first place! After escalating the matter to the Ombudsman, Stoneacre reluctantly replaced the engine after four months. I thought this was finally the resolution – until the very next day, when the engine management light came on yet again. Per the Ombudsman’s instructions, a third-party inspection revealed that the repairs failed. Despite this, Stoneacre continues to stall the process by refusing to cooperate properly with the Ombudsman and the finance company, leaving me stuck with an unroadworthy car. It has now been a year of stress, anxiety, and financial loss. I’m still paying for finance, road tax, and insurance on a car I cannot drive. Adding insult to injury, they had the audacity to call me January 2025 about servicing the car and warned I could lose the 5-year warranty I purchased. Stoneacre Stoke prioritises sales targets over customer service or accountability. I would not wish this experience on anyone. Avoid them at all costs – they have cost me money, time, and peace of mind.

Adam the salesman (at Liverpool) was very attentive to my needs and also very patient, Really pleased with the new MG ZS, My only disappointment was with the valeting of the car which was not great, Adam arranged for it to be done again, it was cleaner after but in my opinion only ok, also there was a very slight mark on the front near side wing which i was told would polish out. The mark on the front wing hasn’t polished out but need's slight paint job which has been scheduled for Friday February 7th. Would definitely go back to Stoneacre and recommend them to family & friends which i have already done.

Bought a used car from the Lincoln volvo branch. Very impressed with the service provided and from Tom the sales guy. His knowledge of the car was excellent and he was helpful and friendly throughout. There was no hard sell on either the car or the packages that could be purchased as extras, and we came to a mutual agreement on the part exchange value. Very pleased with the whole process and would definitely buy from here again.

Re Stoneacre Middlesbrough This is supposed to be an MG authorised dealer, but they are unable to fix an MG3, my sister bought one from there about a year ago and the car has been back 8 times, they kept it in the for weeks on end, then the only thing they offer is to trade it in for something else as if she is a new customer, and being told she has to foot the bill for the remaining difference between the settlement figure and the trade in value, the car is still not fixed, engine light back on, and now they want 400 pounds to look at the car again? Absolutely shocking service, been told lie after lie about the car being fixed, my sister didnt want to trade the car in after one year. They wanted it for the 5 year period. So be very very careful buying a car from these people, if its knackered and they cant fix it, be prepared to be fobbed off and have to be lumped with the car. The finance company were no help whatsoever, stoneacre talked my sister into a pcp deal when she wanted HP. This car was mis sold with pressure onto someone who knows nothing about cars, then basically told “tough luck its your problem now” More than enough attempts has been given to fix this car and enough patience. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE

Jordan Harrison sorted the new car for us which we bought from him within an hour (including a test ride). Very friendly. A very smooth service. Two days later we returned to the service department with a few queries which were very easily dealt with and rectified by Garry. Very efficient. We are very satisfied with our experience at Stoneacre.
