SupaGlazing started as a family business in 1981, which has expanded tremendously over the last 37 years. The reason for this is the high quality products supplied together with good quick service and ethical trading – our customers don’t have to wait weeks and weeks for their windows etc. We are well known for our speedy delivery usually 2 – 3 weeks from a firm order. Our factory is situated at Strood and customers are welcome to visit and look around. We also have 3 showrooms situated around Kent.
We ordered windows for our whole house including our porch and a bow window in our kitchen. We were given a date and told that the work would take 3 days. By 11 a.m. on the 1st day they had not arrived. We phoned and were eventually told that the fitters were still on another job and would not be coming! The fitters arrived the next day Thursday and on the Friday another team came to do the porch. The product seemed good but the installation was not. The flashing on the bow was disgusting, filler strips were hanging off, under the bow was unfinished, the porch door was sticking culminating in cracking our ceiling as it was not hung straight also because the window board was too wide and was not allowing the door to open fully. The wrong sealant was used on the outside window and was running down the wall. The filler strips inside the bow were not straight, the recess in the bedroom windows were badly damaged, the frame was damaged. After numerous phone calls (nobody is ever available to speak to you and they rarely return your call) we did have an Engineer come up. He actually had to come back 4 times because of the state of the installation. They eventually sent someone up to do the flashing but the fitter asked if he could start with new lead flashing because of the state of the installation but was told to reuse what was already there. He spent all afternoon trying to sort it out. When we did get to talk to the Managers we were told to stop harrassing them, we were not high priority and we were lying. My husband spoke to the director who stated you are lying you had two of the best fitters, to which my husband replied if that is the case why has the engineer come back four times. We had also ordered a patio door, paid in advance as we needed this installed on a particular day as we had workman coming in to plaster and decorate our house. This date was agreed and signed on our contract. On the day nobody arrived, again many phone calls and eventually two fitters were taken off another job and came. They damaged our walls so badly knocking out for the patio door, they were not allowed to plaster and we were told that someone was on his way. The installers of the patio door started to put our old window cill in, we told them we had paid for a new one and a window board. They left the job and went back to the Company.. When they returned with the cill they told us that the Company would not allow us to have the board as we had not paid for it. Many phone calls later they told us there was a mix up in the paperwork and one was being sent up - no apology - no nothing. They left and the plasterer did not arrive. On the Tuesday, the date it should have been finished, nobody turned up again. After phone calls to (name) (who is the only one that gets things done and does return calls) she managed to get a couple of guys to come in. Their first comment was 'what the hell are we supposed to do with that, there is nothing to plaster to'. They eventually managed to fill the hole with filler and put plasterboard over the hole. Thank goodness we had our own plasterers in the next day who did a good job of repairing the damaged wall. My husband is now going round removing bad sealant and making good. I certainly would NOT recommend them. They have no customer service and are rude and threatening. We are still awaiting guarantees. I did state to one of the Managers - we have spent over £25000 with you - how much more do we have to spend to get good customer service. The other aspect we also had a conservatory built by them, although we did consider having this cancelled. We did go ahead and I will say although we had a couple of issues our conservatory is beautiful. The reason is we dealt with (name) who is the administrator for construction of the conservatory. We had excellent builders and a very good window installer. All of these workmen had been with the company years. If this side of the business runs reasonably smoothly why cant the window side also. I WIOULD recommend them to build your conservatory.
I have just had my new windows and front door fitted by supaglazing, i was a little worried after reading some of the reviews but i can honestly say that the fitter whom we had has done a great job, we have pebble dashing all round so we were really worried about losing the stones but no it all looks just how it started of, the windows and door looks fantastic and of very good quality, my husband is in the building trade himself and he agrees they have done a blinding job, there were a few little minor hiccups along the way but with a quick phone call were rectified straight away. Thank you supaglazing, and especial to [Name] the fitter !
The team was very pleasant and polite, very impressive, the work was of the highest standard, will definitely recommend to family and friends. Job we'll done. Thank you SupaGlazing.
Very happy the fitters were friendly and kept us well informed as to the work being carried out. Very professional
This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with; the management do not want to know if there is a problem. I got legal advice and sent a registered letter when things starting going wrong which was completely ignored. It is so frustrating to deal with a company like this. It took months of waiting to finally get all the windows fitted. During that time the window and rain damaged the walls as they had not sealed around the windows. In the end I just wanted to get the windows fitted so that I did not have to deal with them anymore. The windows had to be remade as they were not as we thought they should be. They also had to remake a sill as it had been measured incorrectly (they had to refit the old window again until this was made). During that time I called the company at least 95 times (I have telephone records to prove this); the secretary to the director is incredibly rude and unprofessional, they are absolutely unbelievable. They promised to come but never showed on numerous occasions. I had to take 5 days off work and wait in on another 6 Saturdays. I feel like they don’t care about customers, in the end one of the directors did get involved but only because she wanted to be paid. She actually threatened to take the windows out if I did not pay when the windows were finally fitted (this was before the windows were even fitted) as she knew the amount of issues I had. Just before they finally finished the job someone from head office came under the pretence to complete the work and said he was not leaving until I paid him, he then tried to take the glass out of the windows and would not leave my property unless I paid him the small amount I had withheld until they finished the job. I had no option but to pay, now am still waiting on the job to be completed. I am reporting them to FENSA as they should not be trading. The fitters were helpful enough and embarrassed by the whole situation, it is not their fault the company is so badly organised. The salesman was very helpful and professional which is why I used the company in the first place (although he did not want to know at all when there was a problem). Apparently he is told not to get involved with problems as it will affect his sales. I regret ever seeing the Supaglazing advertisement in my local newspaper. The price the quoted was acceptable but definitely not worth going through months of absolute hassle. Never again! Double glazing companies are renowned for being problematic but this has got to be the absolute worst company ever! Of course things can go wrong but it is how they are dealt with that matters and Supaglazing do not care at all and have absolutely no customer service skills. I sympathise with the other negative reviews as I have had a similar experience. Do not do not use this company, you have been warned! I also contacted them about my FENSA certificate as I have not received it but they have not even bothered to reply to my e-mails.They were quick enough to contact me when I posted the this review though, telling me to remove it and threatening me with legal action.
I had supaglazing install my front and back door. I needed them in very quickly as I had been broken in to. A sales man came round and I explained to him how urgent this was to be installed. He was very polite and helpful and explained the locks as I was worried that who broke in will come back. He also said this is the price and there was no back and forth from the office to get the quote down. The rep phoned the surveyor and made an appointment for me there and then for an hours time. The surveyor came round and took the final measurements, I received a phone call the following day saying that they can install my doors in 2 days time. From the sales man to office I must say that my experience has been very pleasurable from start to finish. I will be going back for my windows to my house matches. Recommended to one and all. This is a great company
After waiting 6 weeks for my front door( was told 2-3) installers turn up at 11 instead of 9 am. While fitting was in process i was told to fill customer sattisfaction form. Did that and turn around only to see that installer manage to round off screw on the lock. After quit a lot of swearing by him and keep promising himself that he wont work on saturdays again and 1 hour sweating, finally he sort it out. Of course he didnt clean after the job was done. Since then its been 5 weeks and im still trying to get hold off someone to come back and sort off draught coming all around the door, scratches and a hole where i can literally see daylight from inside and sil fitted without prior insulating the frame. All these faults have been identified by their engeneer. Save yourselfs a headache and avoid this company. OFT complaint has been submited.
I had all windows replaced earlier this year and everything was fine. The installation people were very friendly and accommodating. Recently, two windows in separate rooms failed to work so I called Supaglazing to arrange an appointment. Two engineers visited on two separate occasions and diagnosed different issues however, the issue was not resolved until the third visit. I waited in on one occasion for an engineer who failed to turn up. I called the office the following day to advise them of this and spoke to a gentleman who was adamant he had called my land line to advise that the engineer couldn't attend. When I said I hadn't had a call from him, his tone changed and he became what I can only describe as aggressive accusing me of calling him a liar. He raised his voice and eventually hung up leaving me completely dismayed that a Client could be spoken to in such a way. Telephoned the office daily requesting an apology which I am still waiting for after 7 days. No one has called me back. Windows are average, customer service is terrible so avoid if you want a good all round service.

Aug 21,2014Although there was some misunderstanding over our initial order this was very quickly sorted out.
