Our mission is to be different. In a good way. We believe in doing the right thing. With honesty, respect and consideration. We believe Canadians deserve a better choice and a better deal when it comes to telecommunications services. We are that alternative.
Absolutely horrible internet, daily issues. Common pattern is: no internet, contact the tech support, then reset the modem, then ok for a few hours, then the circle starts again. Now they decided to increase price during a promo 12 month period. That's marketing scam. Spent a lot of time resolving issues. No more. I am done. Be careful or be sorry.
I got TekSavvy in December... have had nothing but issues. Currently without connection. I work from home. I need wifi. Don't go eith them.
Dear Marc Gaudrault, I have been a loyal TekSavvy customer for over a decade, and during this time, my experience with your internet service has been excellent, with minimal planned outages. I am reaching out to express my concerns regarding the treatment of existing clients, specifically in relation to recent pricing discrepancies. Yesterday, I called to update my plan and was informed that the better rate of $71.95 was only available to new customers, despite my current plan being priced at $136.67. I find this unfair, especially as I have been a consistent customer for over ten years, contributing to TekSavvy's ongoing success. It is disappointing to see existing clients, who have helped your company grow, excluded from the same promotional offers available to new customers. Service offerings and promotional rates should be extended to all customers, both new and loyal, who have supported the growth of your brand and contributed to your recognition as the 2016 Top Telecom CEO. I hope you will consider revisiting this approach in the future and make promotional packages available to all clients, regardless of their tenure with TekSavvy.
Id give it negative stars if I could. I got the 1 gig internet and i was getting around 150mbps when standing beside the router, my computer is directly about it in a room and it was getting around 50mbps. I asked them to put it in the one room and the service tech kept saying it would be worse in that room, and id get at least 500mbps even if it was put where he put it because there was already a coax cord there he could connect to. I called and nothing was resolved, terrible internet
Horrible company. They want your business to sign you up. Then give you defective equipment and won’t change it. I even had their modem go out during a business meeting. Horrible service
Unreliable provider and unprofessional. Would not respond to service interruptions and just blame external technicians. This is a bad company.
I scheduled a tech to come to my house and instead they sent me a modem and when I called them to ask where the tech was, they told me they had it booked as a self install. I cancelled because they either can't or won't send someone to my house to actually set up the infrastructure required for this modem to work and they have made returning this thing such a nightmare. They said I can just bring the it to a post office and they will scan a code but the post office said they don't do that. They keep saying they will send me a return label in the mail and then they just email it to me and expect me to print it myself which honestly I could, I have a printer, it's just a hassle to set up and I don't feel like I should have to since I never asked for this thing. I asked you to send a tech.
I'd give zero stars if possible. We attempted to set up internet at our new home. Punched in the address and all seemed good to go. We were supposed to have it set-up Jan. 20th between 10-12. At approximately 4, we hadn't received any update from them. We called and was then informed that they don't service our address. After they had already sent the modem, and after we had already waited a week for the installation. They then asked us to send the modem back...on our own. We asked if they could pick it up since it was their fault for not telling us our address wasn't serviceable and they told us we would be charged if they didn't get the modem back. Shitty customer service and we'll never know how the internet was...but it probably also sucks.
I used to like TekSavvy because of their reliable network. Sadly, since last year we have experienced about 20 or more down times. It is even worse in 2025. They seem to be overselling and not doing enough to expand their network. Very disappointed. It is time to look for alternatives. Their technical support are polite and friendly but they have no solution whatsoever. All they will tell you is that a technician will be at your home in about 5 days. If you work at home, TekSavvy is not for you.
Slower internet for the same price of bigger abd better companies, with gimmick promotions to only raise the price on you randomly. Waste of time and money.
So I signed up online (easy process). When the time comes for activation they had the wrong date, when I called to clear that up they then told me that they would need to send a technician to complete the install (despite the fact it was clearly stated that it was a remote activation)....But couldn't confirm when a technician would be available. After a week of no internet and calling them to follow up, they informed they could not provide service to my address and asked me to send their modem back. I am located in Calgary Alberta
I recently joined Teksavvy, and while the initial setup with the Bell technician wasn’t fully completed, Teksavvy’s customer support team stepped in and made all the difference. After a few troubleshooting calls, the final representative I spoke with gave their full attention to my issue and ensured everything was properly connected before ending the call. I’m genuinely grateful to have switched to Teksavvy. Leaving my previous provider was the right decision, and it feels good to support a smaller company that truly values its customers. Their commitment to excellent customer service aligns perfectly with my expectations for any company I choose to do business with. Plus, wait times on calls have been minimal, which is a refreshing change. Highly recommend Teksavvy to anyone looking for outstanding service and support!
Absolute worst internet service I've ever had by a mile. Worse than literal dial up. Then the greedy people running the company think they deserve to increase prices? Are you joking? Try getting a product that isn't throttled or straight up offline 20/24 hours of the day first. What a joke. Calling it dogshit would be a compliment. Get ready to reset your router everyday. Nonstop problems but you run an internet speed test or call them about it being throttled and it instantly is fixed and then they tell you there's no throttling or issues. Somehow every other customer I've talked to sees the same problems that the company denied exists, curious almost like they're lying or something. Cancel your service if you have it they are a scam.
*** WARNING *** Be very careful with providing Teksavvy your credit card information. They can't be trusted with it. They will randomly charge your card, when they are NOT authorized to do so, and customer service was a complete joke when I called them out on the issue. Other than that, the internet is ok. Also, some agents are hit and miss when it comes to customer service requests.
I am considering going back to TekSavvy after having issues with one of the larger companies. I've had no issues with TekSavvy at all. They are responsive, easy to connect with, knowledgeable, and the service is great. It may be a little slower service now than the larger companies because they rent the lines from the other, but at a less per month rate, it's worth it.
Excellent customer service, very easy to call. Knowledgeable agents who are very easy to speak with. Not at all pushy and trying to upsell you services. But the service wasn't good. Slow, had issues connecting. Too many times blacking out.
This place is a complete joke they will tell you that you can have sevice then take your money have you wait for installation just to call you the day if installation that they can't do it , anyone living in alberta should just go with big name providers and don't even consider this company I had to give then a one star rating cause it doesn't give a zero
I called because they had a great deal on interent service. The customer service rep was very polite and helpful. She told me the tech would be out the next day because we couldn't get the modem to work. She emailed saying he would come between 8 and 12 or 12 to 2 or 2 to 4.. Then emailed and called saying he would come between 12 and 2 the next day. Then the tech called the next day at 1145 and asked if he could come in 5 minutes. He came and found out the line we were trying was wrong line, so he searched the house and found a line we could use. He was there for about 45 minutes, he was polite and helpful. Then the next day I got a call from the customer service rep just asking if my service was ok. The internet works great. I have never had a company email and phone me the day of and the day after. Very good customer service. Recommend them for sure.
Been with them around 14 years and the service was excellent for 13 of those. More recently my own modem HAD to be replaced with a Teksavvy modem sent from the USA. That was the first red flag. I had some outages since and dealt with their "new" tech line that seemed to be offshore. Some rude interaction from this new type Teksavvy. Today I woke to find my internet was not online. When I restored it the next thing I read was a mail announcing an increase in charge. The service deterioration from Teksavvy in just a few months led me to immediately decide to terminate and change to another Canadian based ISP once more. My new ISP modem was just delivered (in 9 hours) and I will sadly say goodbye to Teksavvy and their new ways forever.

Feb 21,2025Teksavvy rips off customers and are heartless towards a customer. I paid my bill on time every month. I got bedbugs and had to move. I called them and asked to move my internet to my new address and I was told that they could not. I explained i have bedbugs and no way to send the modem right away to protect them from getting it too. 6 months later I sent the modem but to the wrong place I had no ckue Teksavvy was not Roger's since they sent Roger's to fix my line a few times when I had it. Teksavvy lies saying I never told them about the bedbugs yet i told every company and i know this for a fact. They just want to extort me for $200 even after they verified that they can see Roger's has the modem. I offered to get the modem back to send them and I was told they won't take the modem back after a month and it has been too long they said. They don't care about people, they just want to extort money from customers for literally nothing. No compassion. Stay away from teksavvy, they are scam artists and put it all in their fine print and don't tell you they will charge you 200 when closing your account.
