I certainly would not recommend Teletext holidays. Although they were recommended by a friend.  The low prices on the internet appear to be for  holidays with indirect flights,  clearly why  they are so cheap.  From the moment I made the phone call, my gut feeling was don't do it, I so wish I listened to my gut. It would have avoided 2 weeks of stress.  On 19th September 2024  I contacted Teletext holidays on 03300888899, spoke with  Mani, eventually decided to book a holiday to Fuerteventura for  costing £382.    Money was paid via my Credit card. The money was immediately debited from the account.  He was unable to confirm booking, stating that he would call me back, when completed. At 1731 hours, Just over an  hour later I received a call from Manii,  not surprisingly he told me that the cost had increased by £106. ( That's rapid inflation) He hadn't completed the booking.  I decided that I didn't want to continue and requested a refund.  Mani then asked for details of my  Bank account  , I refused stating that I wanted the money refunded to the purchasing card. He stated that he was unable to do so, but couldn't offer me an explanation. I again refused to supply the requested details and asked to speak with his Supervisor. I was passed onto another guy, unfortunately I didn't get a name. He also couldn't offer an explanation and requested my bank details. I refused to do so and also requested a booking reference number . He stated he would get one and it would be available by giving my bank details to Mani. I was returned to Mani, who immediately asked for bank details. I stated no reference number ,no bank details.  I was put on hold and was eventually given  ref TE00001891, I had serious doubts that this was a genuine number, I was told the  refund would be in the account in 4-7 days. I felt I had no choice but to  provide my account number and sort code only.  Prior to ending the call, he attempted to sell me a holiday for the original cost.  30th September 2024 ,    Nothing has appeared in the account. I called Teletext Holidays Spoke with Vijay.I explained circs gave him the reference number. I was put on hold for 5 mins.  Eventually he returned to me. Stated that he or someone else would call me back with an update within 2 hours. I expressed my doubts as to the validity of the transaction.   30th September 2024 I waited well over 2 hours and there had been  no phone call as promised. Contacted teletext again, spoke with Vijay, stated he had tried to call. Although there were no missed calls on my phone.  He put me on hold again and then after a few minutes stated that the refund had been processed and it will be in my account by 10pm on Wednesday 2nd October.  I 100% doubted so.  On 1st October 2024 I spoke with an operative after a missed call. He stated that they did not have my bank details. I informed him that I've already supplied them on the 19th.He then provided 2 excuses.1. We're not allowed to keep those details dur to Data Protection rules, when I challenged to say how can you pay refunds without keeping them,  he then gave excuse  no2, we've had technical issues.Which is it?, I asked. He went for technical issues. I told him  as politely as I could ( I was in a museum) at the time), that it was utter rubbish ( not the words used) and that it  stinks of a scam.I provided my details again and requested that I be given confirmation that payment had gone through. He promised that the money would be in the account as promised. He stated that I would receive an email. No email was ever received and no money was in the account come the end of  October 2nd. Luckily and with a sense of relief the money finally went into the account late on Thursday. I can't help feeling that there is something untowards going on here ( money laundering, fraud or something similar). Most, if not all companies process a refund onto the card that has been used to make the purchase. I for one will not be using TELETEXT holidays again.

This only got one star as couldn’t proceed without putting one otherwise it would have been none !! I have contacted teletext to book a group holiday and spoke to a lady called Lisa, gave her my Pacific’s and she came back with three holidays for a very reasonable price and on conferring with family we decided to go with one of these, but I had made an error and had given 9 adults 3 children when in fact it should have been 11adults three children, and this is where it went down hill , the holiday quotes were for 14 nights and I needed a new quote for 10 night only and the 2 extra people, the price went up considerably and they could only offer 9 nights with the new numbers, I questioned this as we had gone from 14 nights to 9 nights same hotel but an extra £300 per person !!! Was then told the original quotes were a technical glitch in the calculation and these quotes were for seven nights, what an absolute joke and left me believing I was dealing with crooks. My advise steer clear !!

Vincent who was the floor supervisor was rubbish. He was on night duty when I made a call to book a holiday. He initially hung up on me and when I called again his colleague said he will put my holiday together and give me a call in 15mins and never called me. I called back in 1 hour and he was asking me all the questions which means he never bothered looking into my holiday. Then he said my holiday can't be confirmed and had to wait for response from the supplier and will give me call before he finishes his shift at 10pm. He never called. He was also saying Roy ( another supervisor) will confirm the next day morning which is today ( 12th October). I didn't get a call from Roy so I called Teletext again this morning. His colleague Nancy said Roy is off for 10 days on holiday. This Vinsent should be sacked for giving wrong information and not being helpful what so ever

I have recently booked a holiday with Telextext holiday. The service has been outstanding, very helpful team, but the 1 member of staff who went above and beyond was Vijay Machamoni. The most Pleasant to speak to absolutely great person so helpful and generous and kind human to interact with if you ever was to make a booking ask for Vijay Machamoni, I would definitely book a holiday again with him and also I would recommend family and friends to do the same, thank you so much Vijay… By the way, if there was 10 star rating, I would give you that lol xx

Stay well clear of these people, it’s now ran through a call centre in Indian. Although they advertise as a package holiday company, this is far from the truth. I booked in august and was contacted directly by Ryan stating my flights had changed and the holiday was cut short by a day. After contacting their customer services department I was told that my problem and they can’t help!! I am now in the process of trying to get my deposit back

I wish this could be zero stars! I booked on weds 11th sept 24 to fly to Turkey on Sunday 15th sept. It is now sat 14th and I'm still waiting for all my documents being emailed to me about my outgoings flight and hotel booking. I got my return flight info straight away only to realise that names were spelled wrong on booking and the luggage had not been added. I've spent all day calling to be told he's doing it now and it will be 1 HR then half hour. When I ask to spk to supervisor I'm told there in a meeting. Yet again I booked with Richard!!! Do not book with these

I booked with Teletext Holidays based on a previous positive experience many years ago. The current company is associated to the old one only by the name and nothing else. It is operated in India by pushy phone sales people and goofy make-believe operations that miss sell holidays and lie incessantly. I booked and paid for a holiday in full on 11 July but never received a booking confirmation as standard within 24hrs. I found out that the type of room we were sold doesn’t exist in the hotel we had booked and called teletext many times, before we were moved to a different hotel which was an extra hour away from the airport with a promise of a family suite. After about 20 phone calls in July, we finally received a booking confirmation on 31 July with a room voucher which had a reference not recognised by the new hotel and the room type that did not match the description on the made up voucher. Yet again, we were lied to as teletext holidays had booked a standard double room for a family of four despite supposedly moving us to a family suite with two bedrooms. I was travelling with a fracture and explained that it is pivotal to have adequate sleeping arrangements for everyone. Another 20 calls in August, promises of call backs, offering us to swap to a third hotel of a way lesser standard and rating which we refused, and finally two days before departure agreeing a partial refund of £500 as compensation for the room downgrade, which never materialised. I was told the refund was processed on 12 August - another lie. I demanded to cancel the holiday at different points when it became apparent that we’re being taken for a ride but they wouldn’t refund our money. This has been the most stressful, surreal, ridiculous travel booking experience of my life. I don’t know how they’re in business but I would urge anyone to avoid this company at all costs - nothing good will come out of it. It was so bad that we were actually wondering if there will be a holiday for us at all. Yes, we made it on hols but were cramped in a room with 3 beds for 4 of us whilst injured and never got the refund for being blatantly miss sold the family suite. Ah yes, we were also asked for bank details for the refund which never materialised like the OP mentioned in their review.

READ ALL, GETS WORSE! Absolutely avoid! Shambolic company and staff don’t know their a from their elbow. Richard their agent made our booking, I originally booked Ramada resort in Lara beach I was very pleased with the booking. It wasn’t until after the payment had gone through that Richard said I could upgrade my booking to all inclusive standard. I was like what you on about I thought I booked all inclusive anyway. He then began to explain that many 5 star hotels have a 3 tier all inclusive packages and that I had booked the all inclusive ‘lite’ where drinks were included with meals. He didn’t bother telling me at the time of booking I was so mad! He then said I could upgrade for a total of £65 per person, I told him that I didn’t want to pay any extra and asked to cancel the booking. He said I could not cancel the booking making up some cock and bull story but said he could change the hotel for an all inclusive deal at the same price. I reluctantly agreed but made it evident that I was not happy and that I would be calling back. I called back several times as I wanted Ramada resort at the same price but with the proper all inclusive package, promises of call backs were made but none delivered. It gets worse. On the day of departure we get to the airport only to find out that we were not on the flight back home, why? Because the agent cancelled the booking as the payment did not go through. I was absolutely fuming and panicked. I was travelling with my 4 year old daughter and my mum. I booked a flight back to the UK but to Manchester instead, at €620 per person. I had no other choice. I’m out of pocket coz this company can’t do their job, their agents don’t have proper training. Avoid at all costs. I am now going through a complaint to get a refund and compensation.

We have just found out that we fly out with easyjet with 23kg luggage allowance but return with a Turkish airline with only 20kg allowance. I'm sorry I ever booked with these cowboys and will be seeking a full refund on my £1000 deposit

I booked Family Holiday with Teletex Holidays some time ago and it was done over the phone. The Advisor spelt names wrong even though I spelt them over the phone and asked for pictures of passports for all passengers going to Tenerife, made me pay £50 each to change names on 2 tickets ignoring all my requests to change the name. Recommended The Ponderosa in Playa de las americas Tenerife and it was worse hotel I've stayed in. The Childrens pool was broken months before we booked and still Broken so no swimming for children the other pool was deap Cockroaches in our room we was moved eventually snd that room was locked off and work being carried out in that room for Days. Food choices was limited and Teletext answer my phone call and disconnected me as soon as I reported a problem. I'm glad they gone bust so they can't do this to anyone else. It was 6yrs ago

Money taken and no holiday booked! I rang teletext holidays with the intention of booking a summer holiday. I went through a couple of hotels and flights I was interested in with the operator. I was sent 3 emails confirming the names of passengers, DOB & flight times. I then paid the deposit for the holiday agreed and flights, incl' transfers and baggage. I was informed once this was done and paid I would receive all the booking confirmation through email. Then the operator informed me he would end the call and send everything through ASAP, at this time it was 8.30pm and they closed at 10pm - I was told this would arrive before the close of business that day. Nothing arrived so I called them the next morning, when I was informed someone would call me back. That afternoon the same operator (Krishna) I had spoke to, to make the booking called me and said that the flights hadn't been confirmed so no booking was made and this was only a booking code whilst flights were released. I said that this was not the case as he had already emailed me the flight times and I was not satisfied with this. I either want the holiday booked or a refund. He informed me he would get onto the booking and call me back. 8pm that evening again I had heard nothing, nor received an email so called again. I was told the booking wasn't made so I insisted I wanted a refund and was put through to another department. I was asked to give sort code & account number for refund and told this would take 3 days, despite paying by card. I also asked for an email confirming the refund was made. Again nothing. 5 days later - no refund or email. I have called teletext holidays 2/3 times daily and are constantly informed the email will be sent and yet still no refund or email! Going forward, I have contacted my bank to gain the money back, who will claim this back from teletext holidays. Disgusted at their lack of support and service and will never use again.

They lied to us about our hand luggage allowance. This added £96 to the cost of our holiday. Be very careful with this company. Richard Soloman was the man who lied to us by omitting information during the booking process. You will see that Teletext Holidays have put a sympathetic response below; nothing has been done to remedy the situation.

I was dubious about booking our holiday with Teletext Holidays after reading some of the reviews. However, I am so pleased that I went ahead and booked our holiday with them. Sumeer was extremely helpful, and recommended an alternative hotel when our first choice was not available. He even called me the following day to make sure that I had received confirmation of my booking. We will definitely be booking our next holiday with them, as we saved a fortune compared to other online travel agencies for the same hotel. We have just returned from our holiday and it was amazing. Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday, your help and advice was excellent!
