We travelled to Fuengirola in October, flights etc fine arrived at the hotel to find teletext hadn't paid for our hotel (they had had our money for over 18 months) luckily they had a room free but we had to pay again. I have tried to claim this back but no one seems to care. No replies to emails, phone calls etc, I've even put a claim form via TTA but no response from them either! Absolute nightmare
Can’t believe it - over a year later and Teletext have still not contacted me back even though I’ve made a number of complaints, which are also listed on this website - unbelievable!
Booked a holiday and only want to do an amendment moving my holiday from March to September, I've been trying to do this since early October, 8 phone calls and so many emails to truly travel ,but still waiting confirmation, hate this company will never use them again 😑
Unbelievable wouldn't even give a 1 Star still waiting on £1200 refund been over a year. Supposed to get refunded end of October. No contact complete ignorance. The government are getting involved.
If I could mark 0 i would. Awful service, 6 months after my holiday that I couldn't go on I still dont have a refund. I have called about 10 times, each time I am on hold for at least an hour to be essentially told nothing, I was LIED to several times being told the payment would be with me on XX date, to then be asked for my bank details to pay it into!!! No one can tell me when my refund is coming. I havent even had a reply to my email over a month ago. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY, they are terrible, poor service and cannot give you an honest answer.
Disgraceful customer service. Refusing refund despite numerous requests during COVID. Actually the staff were rude! Don’t use this company
Booked hotel with them 3 rooms. They cancelled all 3 rooms evening g before we arrived. Spent hours and hours speaking to many different people non of whom spoke very good English. No explanation given. We ended up paying the hotel direct again more than teletext charged. Took along time to get money back and would not answer request for difference in payment or reason why cancelled. Never never use these scammwrs
I had major problem getting any kind of reply from this company concerning my cancelled holiday back in 2020 due to covid. I was promised refund which never appeared. They just sent computer generated emails and never answered the calls I may. In the end I went to my credit card provider who issued charge back proceedings against Teletext holidays and I got all my money back within days. My card provider investigated the issue and found in my favour so all the monies were credited to my account. If you have paid by debit or credit card you can get your bank or provider to issue charge back. I found out today they have gone bust so might be bit more tricky. Good riddance to bad rubbish and I hope all of you who are owed money get it back
Teletext holidays are horrendous. Still waiting on refund from April 2019. Been fobbed off with lie after lie after lie about when the money would reach my account. Does anyone have any recommendations where I go from here please. Whoever takes this company over I wish you luck
Teletext has now gone bust will I get my money back ???? I’ve been trying for over a year and a half and got promised every single time I eventually spoke to someone !!!no refund was ever given !! Now they’ve gone bust ??
Still waiting on my refund for my holiday back in March 2019. Stats on their website that payment will be paid by July 2020. Will never use teletext holiday again as they are useless and lack any customer care
My rate is zero my holidays was cancelled by a phone call on July 2021 due to turkey being on red list they promised me my 5800 back in 14 working days that never happened always promising me my money will be coming back in my account, never ever had a problem before that so I trusted them and waited, then I booked a holiday for 20th October 2021 with my family when I got to London Stansted to check in our names wasn't on the plane called teletext and they said my coming back flight was cancelled I mean when the hell was you going to tell me this I was shocked and disappointed just looking at my boys faces and booked the same flight but one way as return flight was 4300 so just did one way to get to our holiday. before I got on the plane I called teletext to ask if my hotel was OK to go they promised me yes it is definitely and said we will pay you your flight money back in 2 working days I knew it was bs, when I got to the hotel tried with my boys they said there is no reservation on our names that point I broke down in front of my kids 12am where the hell do I go, I called teletext immediately and they had nothing to say lucky we knew people there so they took as to an apartment stayed there 3 days then got a hotel was meant to go for 10 nights ended up staying for 18nights as the flights coming back was disgusting.. and now I'm waiting on atol protection to recover my 2 holidays payment of £9386. As the company teletext has closed down I don't wish on the things me and my family went through to anyone
Has Teletext Holidays shut up shop. They are not replying to any contact, I have been chasing a refund for months. Customer service is shocking!
Just wondering if anyone has had a response for the company who are supposed to take over Teletext existing holidays????? I have been sending emails to them since November 1st and not so much as an acknowledgement. There is no phone number to call. Are Teletext really just going to get away without paying people what they owe? When the CMA eventually do bring them to court will they have to pay then? I live in Ireland so can't go through the small claims court as I don't have an English address. Any advise would be appreciated 🤯🤯
Booked Feb 2020 for March holiday 2020 paid in full for my partner and myself. Cancelled due to covid still waiting for my money tried to claim back from Royal Bank of Scotland but I had missed out because I was seriously ill and just able to resume communication with anyone including ROBBING SCUM BAGS TELETEXT.... How can they take our money and leave us in this position. Who is helping everyone thats lost thousand of pounds. I have read that they are having to pay money back as they promised due to getting hundreds of complaints. But I filled in form for a refund and still no answer to my claim. I am going to the small claim court but to be honest I have lost faith ..
Shocking over a year i booked a holiday still no refund disgusting mannered customer service staff that put phone down on you TT811361 no reply from any email considering the gov demanded them to pay out by a certain date ! To say we have been in a pandemic with not a lot of people working and they keep your money what a joke!! Citizens advice and resolver are only option you have to chase anything up
Had a holiday booked in 2019 couldnt get a refund so booked again for 2021 this time was offered a refund , so from June till now we are still waiting for £1585 , now all phone lines cut you of and you can’t get to talk to anyone , also have sent 30+ email none have been answered fuming is a understatement especially I got promise probably as did many it would be in my bank end of oct 😡😡 never ever again any ideas who to contact to help retrieve our money 🙏
My money has been taken from my credit card and i have been told that they are going to pay that back within 14 working days, it is been more than 1 month now and I have not received any money yet. My credit card was saved with them and they have taken 650 pounds from my credit card without my authorisation and told me that it was a technical issue.
Absolutely terrible company,still waiting for my money back from cancelled holiday,keep getting put through to an Indian call centre who have no idea,when you do get through put on hold for 20 minutes then fobbed off and phone disconnected,my advice don't go anywhere near them con artist
