Very bad company, i am sure their going bust as i havent recieved the full amount for my refund. Absolutley terrible! will never use again.

ABSOLUTE CRIMINALS! TELETEXT LIED TO ME, EXPECTING ME TO LAND IN ALBUFEIRA AND ARRIVE AT THE RESORT WITH NO RESERVATION. THEY KNOWINGLY MISLED ME AND THOUGHT IT OK TO LEAVE ME STRANDED IN PORTUGAL WITH NO ACCOMODATION. We saved for 18 months for this holiday, first trip post Covid which nearly ended in utter disaster. THE STRESS AND ANXIETY THIS CAUSED has been horrendous. Booked holiday with Teletext Holidays to Portugal in August, paid in full for flights and accommodation. 5 days before departure I checked directly with the resort what apartment options were available, they advised our booking had been cancelled 1 day prior. Call Teletext – on hold for ages, advise of cancelled accommodation asked what was going on. Ravi promised a supervisor would call by end of day – no one called back. I called first thing next day, demanding an explanation. None could be provided but was promised that Teletext had plenty of rooms at the resort and a new room would be booked. While this was going on, I called the resort and the helpful manager agreed to hold an apartment for me until the end of the day, but Teletext had to ring him to sort the situation out, as they had cancelled the original booking. All this info was provided to Ravi. Roland, apparently a supervisor, call later in the morning. He could not explain why accommodation was cancelled but said he had spoken to the resort manager and confirmed the room for us. He even gave us a special Teletext telephone number to ring in case there were any issues when we got there. Great, I thought, crises averted! Little did I know but the lies and deception by Roland and Ravi had just begun. I then rung the resort to check Roland had contacted them. HE DIDN’T call or email them; the room had not been confirmed and was now given to someone else. To add insult to injury, I called the ‘special’ number Roland had given me – it was the Teletext refund department, not some dedicated team ready to sort out any issues. Obviously, I called Teletext back, Roland was mysteriously not available, but I did speak to Ravi. Needless to say when presented with all the evidence he got defensive and aggressive, threatening me by saying that if we did not accept any replacement accommodation we would lose our money. I did not want any mediocre replacement hotel, only the one I had booked. They refused my refund request as they had failed to provide the service outlined in their T&C’s. I did a CHARGEBACK with my credit card company and provided a 7-page motivating claim, Teletext NEVER responded to the claim and the chargeback was upheld. FOUND OUT WHY the accommodation was cancelled – TELETEXT USE ANOTHER agent to book accommodation. They had not paid the other agent for my reservation (keep in mind I paid Teletext in full) hence the booking was cancelled.

I have used teletext holidays for many many years. The last three years they have been obismal. Service crap. Contact crap. Getting your money back no chance. I have heard every excuse under the sun for not getting my money back.End of the month,end of the month, 3 months on still no refund and o can even get through to any number or extension because the inbox is full. Do not use teletext holidays. Use Barhead travel/ jet2. No issues at all.

One Star, if there was Zero, I would have put that! My tale is far too long. Short version - saved up over the year for 2020 Xmas week 21st Dec till 28th. Covid news, Teletext wouldn't answer my emails/phone calls from 14th Dec onwards. 18th Dec, answered my call, made me pay £960 extra to change my dates. Gave me 18th October 2021, even though I had paid extra for Xmas. Anyway, me, husband, daughter, grandson flew to Sunset Bay Club, Diamond Resorts. Costa Adeje. Arrived 2 weeks ago, 18th October, showed my Accomodation Voucher. Accommodation was cancelled, we had nowhere to stay. Called Emergency number, spoke to Tomasz, he said that there was nothing he could do Jessica at the Resort was very upset with our predicament but said that she could not accept our voucher. After many frantic calls to Teletext Emergency number, Thomas advised me to pay again for our accommodation, costing me a further £1,254.68 on my Credit Card and I would be re-imbursed. Had no choice! I have received £584 to my bank account The long and short is this: I have paid nearly £5,000 for a week in Tenerife, apartment - not all inclusive and not even on a school holiday. I have called umpteen times to Teletext, to be told Email Customer Relations I have emailed, to be honest, I am so Peed off with this, I am taking this as far as I can

Just seen a post about you collapsing very soon. Well I say.... this is 100% DESERVED! You steal off people, you ignore people but harass people who take you to court and worst of all you lie in court!! This is your just deserved teletext and I am so happy this is happening after the hell you put me through. I said 2 years ago in court after I won my case... if you are still operating in 3 years time I would be shocked.... seems I am right! Thank god you won't be ripping more customer off in the future. So sorry to people who have fallen in your trap! This has seriously made my night.... actually my year!!! 🥳

Absolutely disgusting that they think they can take our hard earned money and not pay it back… been awaiting refund since April.. now who do we go to for help???? They are thieves… I am owed over 4000 and been told 5-7 days it will be back in to my bank.. lie after lie after lie… teletext should be ashamed..

This lot are a shower of trash with their bowl of rice call centres. They were on the ropes six weeks ago taking money for holidays that they could not fulfil. Jacob N, one of their conmen should be jailed and his tongue ripped from his lying mouth. Be certain these scumbags will be up and running in a few weeks time. Don't bother booking holidays with firms that are not in Europe. Cheap labour means greedy employers. End of lesson. Don't be afraid to vent your anger and hatred at these thrashy workers who con you. Why bother putting a booking number, they don't care how much slagging off they get.

I am only choosing 1 star as it does not let me go any lower simply put teletext holidays are theives. Holiday booked for April 2020 and still have not received a refund despite numerous calls. Last call on 13th Oct I was advised a third party has taken over refunds and guaranteed I would have it by November 1st and now ALL contact numbers have been disabled. NEVER EVER USE TELETEXT HOLIDAYS

I booked a holiday to Morocco March 24 th 2020 and was cancelled and called teletext holiday around 50 times and to no avail no refund So I decided to change holiday to 21 st Oct 2021 as wasn’t getting anywhere and went got to hotel they cancelled my holiday 2 dats before I got there had no where to stay called the emergency number and promised a refund in 24-48 hours called them back and said no refund and I wasn’t having it and out phone down so I’ve paid twice for my hotel this should not be allowed to happen haven’t gotten spare money after COVID only booked again because wouldn’t refund from 2020 now paid twice I want my money back it’s not fair Now the phone lines are dead

I should have given -1 star. We booked a holiday through teletext last year in December to go to Lanzarote. Me and my husband both got covid and had to cancel the holiday and also the government advised against travel from UK which would have been enough to get a refund. I have contacted them several times through phones, email and also written to CMA and threatened to take them to court and have had not reply what so ever. Telephoned them almost everyday since last year. I have no other solution left but to hire a solicitor and take further action. This was my hard earned money and they do not have a right to hold on to. Surely the government should step in and get these people what they deserve (JAIL)

I gave these thieves 1 star because I couldn't give any less. Do not book with thie company or any other name they trade under, truly travel etc. They owe me and thousands more people thousands of pounds for cancelled holidays. You cannot talk to anyone in customer services who has the power to help. Do not trust this company with your hard earned money! If you click on the link to this company and read about the refunds it will tell you that the customers who have not yet been refunded have not been in touch to give their bank details in order to receive the refund, again this is totally untrue, I have called them every week for 2 months about it, they have a of my correct details. They just lie to buy more time. Disgraceful set up. Save yourself the heartache and book with someone else.

Teletext Holidays (Truly Holidays) and Alpharooms ceased to trade on Friday evening. There are many reports of hotel rooms being cancelled by hotels, presumably because they have not been paid. Forward bookings have been taken over by TTA Holidays and anyone seeking a refund, and there are many, should contact the Travel Trust Association who ran a trust account on behalf of Teletext Holidays. You can email them at an address to be found on the Teletext Holidays website as I cannot post the address here.

Teletext holidays decided to cancel our reservation with the hotel we were booked to stay at in Corfu. Without telling us. Meaning we flew to Corfu and only found out when at the hotel desk. Luckily the hotel found us a room but we had to pay for it. Considering we had paid teletext in full in April and this holiday was October, there is no excuse for this. When contacting them (from Greece) there was no apology and just "the supplier cancelled the booking". I assumed "supplier" meant someone other than teletext, but when I queried it they confirmed this did mean teletext themselves. I can only assume the call centre do not exclusively work for teletext. I was promised a refund of the money I had paid teletext for the hotel within 2-3 days. One week later on return home and it's still not been paid. I should have anticipated something when I went to check in for our flights with Ryanair about 3 weeks before and found them demanding payment. On contacting teletext they did promptly pay the flight fares - but no mention of any issue with the hotel at this point. We are lucky we hired a car and did not use the shuttle service we thought we had booked - I highly suspect we would have been left stranded at the airport without that. I will categorically never use teletext holidays again.

DO NOT USE TELETETELETEXTHOLIDAYS LTD, I think since the covid something fishy is going on with the company... i will NEVER AGAIN USE TELETEXT for my travel...i am currently on holiday 28/10/21 and had to repay transfers and hotel cost. This is after paying teletext holiday agents almost 3k for a family of 5 including a baby of 5months. On arriving at about 8pm in spain and showing invoices we were told our names wasn't on the list of transfers, so we paid 100 euros taxi to our hotel. The hotel also said our booking which was all paid in August had been cancelled in September. The hotel was fully booked but considering the time (11pm) we arrived, they found a temporary accommodation which we had to pay...I have tried to call Teletext since my arrival in spain and they have had me wait on the phone for hours, said there are two different customer services and I should call the other, and then hang up on me. The customer service even at one point said I should call my friends or family to help pay the hotel bill if I have no money. The frustration and seeing the kids stressed I was forced to pay again the full hotel bill for our stay but you dont have to be in my situation....STAY AWAY FROM TELETEXT HOLIDAYS and what ever !

There should be an option for - stars...1 is to generous and who gave them excellent rating!!!! They cancelled our accommodation before we travelled and didn't tell us. Had to pay for accommodation again and we were lucky that the hotel had availability for us. Called them while on holiday and told money would be refunded in 2 days...to cut a long story short 3 weeks later we are still waiting for our refund...they are ignoring our calls and emails. I'm so sorry for those that have paid thousands for their holiday and are finding it very hard to get their money back.

Myself and partner booked a holiday to lanzorote for oct 25th , when we tried to check in there was no flight so contacted teletext to find out why , turns out they hadnt booked the flight well paid for it and it was lost , so we asked them what else was available for that week as i had booked annual leave they gave us tenerife , wasnt happy as wanted to go back to same hotel in lanzo that we went to in august but it was either that or nothing so my partner paid an extra £220 for tenerife , all paperwork was emailed and i printed it off at work transfer and accomodation voucher and flight detals along with our ATOL certificates . So has holiday aproached i tryed to check in but it kept taking me to payment page , my partner called them and they told him they were having technical issues and if we paid the flight they would refund it so this we did . Got to tenerife and the hotel tuesday gave the hotel the accomodation voucher to find out it was booked but not paid my partner paid 180 euro to secure 2 nights so we could try take the matter up with teletext to be told teletext there was nothing they could do and suggested we call family and friends then put phone down we still dont know if hotels paid and cannot enjoy holiday having the fear that we could be chucked out hotel anytime , we have been in contact with the travel trust association and they have been trying to help but confused as teletext are aparantly taken over by TTA , is this travel trust association the same as TTA

This company scammed us. We paid £6799 to go to moon palace for Christmas and teletext have cancelled our trip! Took our money and have denied cancelling it but I have confirmation from the hotel
