Following her survey, she explained in detail the causes of the damp and gave clear advice as to how to remedy it. I felt completely at ease and trusted her implicitly in what she was saying. i would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Dec 03,2019We used Timberwise (Sherborne branch) to investigate and subsequently treat a wood-boring infestation in our loft. Everything from initial contact, site visit report and quote and the subsequent treatment which we had today was excellent. Big thank you to Norman from the Sherborne branch who visited to treat our loft today. He was friendly, put down carpet protectors everywhere and cleaned up afterward to an immaculate standard. Would highly recommend this company.

Craig followed up with a detailed written report that made everything absolutely clear. As things turned out we decided not to have the work done, at least not yet. But had we done so this is the company we would have chosen. Thank you Craig, and thank you Timberwise for a first-class all-round service.

Nov 18,2019Delighted with the cost and the work carried out by Timberwise. The survey was carried out extremely professionally and the problems with the damp explained to me with great interpersonal skills to ensure I fully understood the problems and was comfortable with what needed doing. On the first day of the work protective flooring was put down and as much covering as possible over the furniture. The remedial plastering was the best I have ever seen with a smooth polished finish and superb work. The reason for not awarding 5 stars is down to some housekeeping by the office based staff who I must stress were lovely. An e-mail took two weeks to be replied to, a wrong quote was sent out and a promised phone call for the next day was never made. To put these matters into perspective I was extremely happy with Timberwise and have no hesitation in recommending them.

On my first hand experience of using Timberwise I recommend them wholeheartedly. Let’s just say my faith has been restored against a very bad experience with a competitor.

Oct 17,2019I asked Timberwise to have a look at the woodworm infesting my father’s garage roof. The very friendly surveyor gave a reasonable quote having checked the rest of the house including the loft to make sure that the little blighters hadn’t spread. The work was completed today by a very nice chap who was very thorough and left no mess. I’d happily recommend Timberwise based on my experience.

Jul 24,2019Excellent service. We needed some advice on woodworm in our old ceiling beams. A thorough survey was completed and the treatment booked in for 2 weeks afterwards. Beams were treated, no mess! The woodworm was likely inactive, but we thought it was better to be safe and get a written guarantee to confirm it had been treated. Very happy with the service and price. Would definitely recommend.

Jul 18,2019The assessment of dry rot and other problems in my cellar was clear and comprehensible. The remedial works, which were of necessity highly disruptive to the room above the cellar, were done with calm efficiency, and both the cellar and the room above were left as tidy as could be hoped for. All your employees were impeccably mannered and professional.

Jun 15,2019I used Timberwise to diagnose and treat a damp problem in my hallway. I've been really impressed with the service from start to finish. The surveyor was professional and gave concise information. He explained the cause of the damp in a straightforward, accessible way. There was no 'hard sell'. Whenever I have phoned the Timberwise office, the staff have always been very friendly, efficient and helpful. The technician who delivered the work was brilliant. He was extremely tidy (especially given the fact that the job involved hacking off black-lime render in a very confined space!). I was really impressed by how he took the time to fully protect the surrounding area - with professional floor and carpet covering. He tidied everything neatly away overnight. This was a big relief - and made the whole experience relatively stress-free. Finally, based on other quotes I received, the work was competitively priced. I would definitely recommend Timberwise based on my experience. Thank you.

May 31,2019We've had Timberwise carry out a timber and masonry treatment for dry rot, and carry out wide ranging building repairs to reinstate the structure and fittings of the building. They did an excellent job from start to finish, from preparing the quotation, to liasing with the warranty company, and responding openly and honestly to unexpected findings. Tim Fenner was our main contact, and Matt and Carl did most of the work. Matt and Carl were extremely professional and did a wide range of work to a very high statndard. They were very considerate and courteous throughout the work, in what were at times extremely difficult circumstances. We thought they provided value for money, estimating the scale of the work is obviously difficult. We would strongly recommend Timberwise for this kind of work.
