I have never in my life received such horrendous customer service. I called to cancel in May and was told this was all completed. I have been billed ever since still as they were “estimating the reading”. I called in August to get this sorted and get my refund. After 6 phone calls and speaking to agents who couldn’t even spell their own name, I managed to email someone who told me there was a credit on the account and they need my details given verbally to refund me. I have been waiting weeks for the phone call, to be then told they tried and the number didn’t work. But never emailed me to say they tried to call and the number didn’t work. I have called and called with no luck, agents refusing to pass me to a supervisor. Unbelievably unhelpful service. I can not stress enough, can hardly Understand him, not answering my questions, talking over me, needs sacking. Still waiting........

Non existent customer service. If you are going to be foolish enough to use this company, do not go with their monthly d/d suggestions. Trying to get your money back is almost impossible due to the inept staff and lack of any form of communication. Seriously, worst company I have ever dealt with, and Im an ex talk talk customer!🤣

No problems to speak of. I did find I wasn't getting my meter-reading reminders at one point last year, and I did have to point it out before anything happened, but no big deal. I have found the customer service people to be helpful and friendly on the rare occasions I've needed to contact them. And the green side of things is great!

If I could give them zero i would. Don't respond to emails don't respond to complaints. Wrong billing. Wrong everything to be honest wishes I had stayed with Eon

30/09 updated to say all now resolved and my refund has been received after a very professional young man contacted me the day after I posted this. It shouldn't have been necessary and I am pleased with the end result but I still can't recommend them as a provider. Incompetence beyond belief. My father died in May, his account is in credit for £507.53. I have called numerous times, complained and emailed and still no refund. Latest sting in the tail was to be advised refunds are only given via Direct Debit (absolute nonsense) plus they refund a maximum of £199 at one time, today I have been charged £199 instead of being refunded. Absolutely speechless. Apparently this has now been escalated to their bereavement team. It will now be escalated to my lawyer.

Do not use this company. Customer Service is non-existant. I left in November 2019 due to the extremely poor services, but am now receiving Dunning Letters advising I owe them £84.00. Strange thing is,that in April 2020 I was £12.00 in credit. I have emailed and emailed them to try and resolve the issue. I am happy to pay whatever I may owe, but will not pay for what I do not owe. The figures from British Gas (who I transferred to) were correct by my actual readings, but the readings tonik are giving on my final bill are all incorrect. If I pay what they say, I will be paying twice for the same energy (Once to Tonik and Once to British Gas)! This company is a disgrace. Be warned. Update 21.9.20: Again emailed payments and help at Tonik with no reply. A further dunning letter arrived today threatening third party action within 6 days. They seem to be able to produce these 'automated dunning letters', but there do not appear to be actual people resolving any issues. I can't wait to go to court to resolve this issue. and finally get some kind of response and closure. Moving to Tonik was the worst mistake I have made in the past 50 years!!

Easy to join. Awful to leave. It took three months to receive a final bill. Tonik Energy then gave me two weeks to settle the balance of an incorrect bill (even with smart meters) whilst sending me threatening letters for a bill that by their own admission was not correct. Possibly the worst experience of any supplier. Avoid.

Very mixed bag but slow responses once I left as a customer and wanted a final bill. While I was a customer the service was good but having left in April, It took until September to receive adequate response. I was over charged for a period in which I was not a customer. Phone wasn't available due to COVID but taking months to respond to an email is not acceptable. My impression has really changed and I would not now go back.

I am very pleased with Tonik. The online services are on top and working well. You practically don’t need to contact customer service if you don’t want to, everything is there online as clear and understandable as possible. And the best thing is that it’s renewable energy 🙏🏽

Average waiting time to speak to someone 1 hour.. no responses to emails, they don't say what they are going to do.. absolute nightmare. If you don't have a problem its fine, BUT when you do be prepared... it will take a long time to get resolved.

I haven't had any issues at all using Tonik Energy. I have just renewed for another year at a great price, it was so easy and took just minutes.

Customer service poor. Spent hours on the phone and sent several texts trying to retrieve two lots of money owed by Tonik, one from beginning of August, one from beginning of May (over four months). Eventually successful after a lot of worry and stress.

In May i left Tonik because since February they had been using the incorrect meter reading and ignored my emails other than the standard reply. I received a final bill in May that was incorrect and in spite of several emails requesting they correct it, all i received was a threat to send in a debit collection agency. I paid the bill and am still awaiting a refund.

So easy to contact them if you have any queries and they always tell you when your deal is ending so you don’t pay any higher amounts. Plus it’s green energy! I wouldn’t go with any other firm now.

Absolutely awful service. Tonik have caused me months of stress and frustration. I have tried to resolve billing queries since October 2019 with no response from Tonik. The call centre is hopeless and non responsive, probably because they are based in South Africa and have no connection to Tonik in UK. The UK staff are non contactable and useless in my opinion. My case is with the Ombudsman for resolution but I still receive bills and treats of cutting my power and handing me over to collections. Do NOT sign up with Tonik, you will be in for a world of pain!!!

Avoid like the plague. They are happy to sign you up and take your money, but also happy to drop you on to a very bad tariff and then not give you a final bill for nearly 6 months after leaving. Check out the comments on their Facebook page, I'm clearly not alone. Customer service? Nope, they don't bother with that.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! They owe you money and they wont pay it back but continue to take small amounts from your bank account !! RIP OFF MERCHANTS
