Do not have anything to do with this company, whatever deals they seem to have you will regret it. And if you have the misfortune of inheriting them as your supplier either when you buy a property or rent then ensure you stop the supply and make sure you have documentation to prove it and keep records of everything. When you call customer services you are calling a call centre in South Aftrica who are appalling and will promise escalations an resolutions but it goes nowhere. You need to ask to be put through to UK customer services and they will resist and delay but you just have to insist. Anyone vulnerable would probably end up being completely fleeced by this company as you have to be so strong and assertive to deal with them. It's with the ombudsman as I write this.
Tonik Energy would have received a five star review from me this time last year. However they had an up-date on their computer system earlier this year and as per normal all did not go to plan. This caused some delay in monthly bill being issued. Then of course to follow this we have Covid-19 and lockdown. Of course with so many people working from home delays in responses did take place, however, the responses although delayed were forthcoming and were precise and helpful. I look forward to giving a 5 star review next year.

It is now 14 weeks since I told this lot their final bill was incorrect and despite me sending numerous emails to try and resolve the situation, all I get is contact from a debt collection agency. Well, good luck with that Tonik. Ive collected all the evidence tp prove your up the creek. Now in the hands of the ombudsman
When I called you put me on the tarriff which had just closed so long as I changed that day. p.s. I shall try to give more regular reading but the meter points are behind a water butt so it needs to be empty.
Emails are not responded to and the call-centre staff are completely unaware of their own policies and procedures. Had multiple issues within my first 2 months of joining. I regret joining Tonik now!
AVOID THIS COMPANY! TOTAL DISGRACE! I left Tonik 6 months ago after chasing for 2 months for a final bill I paid my final balance and about a month later they emailed to say I had a credit which they refunded! Forward a few more months I received an email to say there’s an unpaid bill and threatening with debt collectors- unable to speak to anyone and several complaint emails sent which they ignore! Finally spoke to someone 2 days ago in a call centre abroad who apparently couldn’t help me! Absolute joke! So another complaint email sent! Funny how my emails are ignored but they happily send threatening emails demanding money which I have no idea of how I owe! My final balance was paid and I received no correspondence of an unpaid bill until being threatened! Still unresolved! Do yourself a favour and avoid avoid avoid SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE! UNRELIABLE! SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY!

Excellent when I was able to speak to someone. Email unanswered - sorry, no excuses for that. Do not ask people to send emails if you are going to ignore them.

I have been with Tonik for 3 years now and very happy with the service they provide. Used to have different suppliers for gas and electric until I decided to change to Tonik for both and have not looked back! I have spoken to them over the phone a few times and every time they have answered and resolved my queries.
Hello I had my monthly payment increased massively and was told it was because I had increased consumption. When I tried to find out more I coudlnt. Next thing is it was reduced to even less. I do nor know what this means or how it came about . No explanation or reply given hence review.

I requested to switch my electricity and gas to Tonik in June. Electricity switched no problem. I’m still waiting for the gas to switch despite chasing several times. Getting through to Tonik by phone is a nightmare. They haven’t got back to me despite promising to do so or responded to an e-mail I sent 5 days ago.
Just renewed my contract for second year. Very happy with the set up. Thanks

Sep 11,2020Horrible experience. Closing balance on the account at the end of the contract was £280 in credit. Tonik couldn't issue final bill for nearly two years and ended up in dispute with the ombudsman. Email responses arrives best case in one month, phone calls cannot provide any information. Non-responsive, irresponsible dodgy energy provider to be avoided under any circumstances.
