Having left Tonik on the 16-04-2020.I am still awaiting a final bill, up to today 18-09-2020 I still haven't received it. Despite around 30 emails requesting a final bill, all I get are threats of debt collectors or even court action. This company is a joke, beware anyone thinking of joining them. You get no response of telephone contact or indeed no response to requests for a final bill. Customer services are non existent and it seems to me that different depts. don't talk with each other. AVOID this company

IN JULY DECIDED TO GIVE TONIC LAST CHANCE BIG MISTAKE I HAVE SENT 5 E.MAILS ASKING FOR STATEMENT FOR AUGUST STILL WATING FOR REPLY 1 PHONE CALL ANSWERED AFTER I HOUR BY SOMEONE IN SOUTH AFRICA NO IDEA WE'RE WE LIVED IN UK STATEMENT PROMISED BUT STLL NOT RECEIVED I HAVE CONTACTED RESOLVER A LEGAL COMPANY RECOMMEND BY MARTIN LEWIS MONEY SAVING EXPERT WILL NOW FOLLOW LEGAL PROCEDURE THIS IS SO UNNECESSARY ALL I WANT IS A STATEMENT OF MY ACCOUNT FOR AUGUST NOT COMPLICATED I COULD PROBABLY WORK OUT THE BILL MYSELF DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THERE ARE OBVIOUSLY MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH IT I WILL KEEP YOU POSITED.

Appalling poor service. You arent able to get hold of the call center and they don't respond to email correspondence. I have an outstanding issues that's been ongoing since April and to date no one has made the effort to assist in resolving the issue that tonik created.

Tonik are very poor they are telling me that I’m in credit on My bill but still saying that I owe them money they also over doubled my monthly payments for no reason and no response from there so called customer service until now after 4 months after sending emails I’ve even gave them my phone number to call me but nothing to discuss my bill but nothing.DO NOT USE THIS Company

To older customers that is dissatisfied with tonik energy I have £86 outstanding on my tonik energy account and I was told by a customer service representative that I cannot leave until it is less than £20 I seen shell energy in my local town I went with them and tonic let me go without an argument so if tonik tells you that you cannot leave unless you pay your debt off tell them to do one because you can leave I done just that like I said I join shell energy and now I am paying my debt off with tonik that £5 per month because they have gone behind my back to spite me saying I would set up a payment plan with them they have now passed to a debt recovery company because the guy I spoke to on customer services which is an understatement customer services yeah right doesn't exist on tonic however because I I am really angry with tonic I have left as I've already said and I would advise anybody that is not happy with them just to contact and know the sofa by there and leave of course this is entirely up to you what you do I am just advising naturally I cannot make people's minds up but tonic does not offer a good service as they claim they do I was certainly not recommend them needless to say.

Customer service is shocking. Didn't provide statements for months then put them all up at once and made a massive change to our monthly bill. A complaint regarding this is outstanding for 5 months! they just kept sending emails saying this is our complaints process. We decided to leave and then they sent a letter saying they would take the final payment by direct debit, the next letter they sent said we had missed a payment and had 7 days to pay or we could be referred to debt collectors. When I called them and finally got to speak to someone it turns out they are still planning to take the direct debit payment.

Tonik energy is a complete waste of space I wouldn't recommend joining this company in a million years how the hell they managed to get an award I have no idea the customer services are rendered they do not call you back when they say they will I have a deck with tonic even though I'm no longer with them because they told me I cannot leave unless I pay it which is rubbish the man I spoke to was supposed to call me back he was late calling me back one day day because I didn't have my bank details on me he promised me he would call me back a couple of days later however it didn't and now they have my debt onto a recovery company which is giving me a bad credit rating I hope you burn in hell tonic . If you are silly enough to join this company then you good luck to you I promise you you will need it .I was also promise a smart Meter when I first joined tonic it never happened even after a year as far as I'm concerned all they ever do is lie to that customers

I joined tonik in July 19, utter confusion surrounded my dual mpan electricity supply/ solar export meter, with solar going to sse. I couldn't give them my electric readings because it was not enabled in my account. I sent them in via email, regularly. I left in July 20, they still send me requests for meter readings, claiming they are still my supplier. Then yesterday they sent me an estimated final bill. That's not a final bill, that should draw everything to a conclusion. I have raised the second formal complaint with them. I then came across this advice: Cancel your DD. Leave negative reviews on Trustpilot every 24 hours for about 2 weeks. Email their MD Chris Russell chris(at)tonikenergy.com registering a formal complaint and at the same time in your email ask for a SAR (subject access request) They have to respond to the SAR within 1 month or you can report them to the ICO. If your complaint is not resolved in 8 weeks they need to send you a deadlock letter. Then you can use that to log your case with the Energy Ombudsman. Use the info they have to provide you with in the SAR to log the case against them. Tonik must comply with their decision.

I asked for a reduction in my monthly payments owing to having a more economic boiler fitted and got no response? Then I received an email stating my previous request was now closed. Original request made in Mid August and closed one month later with no response and a pensioner paying £80.02 after moving myself to a more economic tariff of £55.00 per month? Still paying £80.02!!!

I'm trying to leave tonik but it's impossible. They are not awswering there phones. They said I owe money then they said I didn't. Now I'm getting emails saying I owe money again. They don't answer my emails. They also have put down wrong bank account details. I'm not sure what to do next, help!!

Good web site Good green credentials Four stars and not five because in spite of being on a fixed rate plan this only applies to the price of the energy supplied to you and so my bill still went up in the Winter. My fault maybe but I should like the opportunity to pay off what is necessary in a lump sum before my monthly debit changes automatically.

I left Tonik in December 2019 and received an email confirming this and saying no more money would be taken from my account. I am now getting emails threatening to take action if I don’t pay my final balance. There is no information on how to pay and no Tonik account details. I have tried phoning but they are not answering the phone and emails via their helpline just come back with a ‘ticket number’. I can still access my account online and appear to have two different account numbers one of which is ‘myenergy’. I am very concerned about their threats of further action but don’t know what else I can do. I would advise anyone NOT to sign up to Tonik.

Unfortunately I’ve had a bad experience with Tonic and they are still not resolving this 4months on. When I switched to them (dual fuel) only my electricity went across and not my gas. They said it failed and would re-request it. My old supplier continued to supply me and now bill me at a premium rate for having a single fuel and being out of promotional period. Hoping this was a simple fix I left Tonic to sort it out, however everytime I ring I have to painfully explain the situation for them to keep ‘re-requesting’ it. They can’t find out why it’s not working only that they can request again. Meanwhile I’m paying for 2 supplies as they won’t lower my original DD but reassured me it’s all sat in a credit on my account. Customer service is awful, not UK based and no decent understanding of the situation.

Do not use this company. In June 2019 great but come Jan 2020 something changed. Staff did not follow up calls or emails and no one cared. I spent months in lock down dealing with this. Took 6 months to get a simple typo error changed which put my bill up to 3k. In end i emailed CEO off linkedin and anyone who would listen.

One star is over generous. Terrible experience from start to finish. Continued charging me for electricity for three months when they were no longer supplying me. I had to cancel direct debit payments to get it to stop. Call centre staff that are not helpful, unwilling to listen and hang up. So much noise and laughing in the background that it is difficult to hear the operator. Digital messages don't get answered. Took four months to issue a final bill which didn't add up. Think carefully before going with this company!!!!!!

Not had a good experience,had a dual fuel switch,but didn't switch my gas till recently,but still took full direct debit amount for my dual fuel tariff.Informed them 3 or 4 times. Also switched my mothers to a dual fuel, same tariff as mine and they now tell me there are two accounts running aside 1 address. NO, not the case. I have informed them of both account numbers and addresses, and that they have had very different meter readings from both addresses. I await their reply.

You are still high on your standing charges. As I don't use gas this is very painful and unreasonable

Absolutely dreadful and appalling customer service 8 calls of 45min wait time and 3 official complaints using their process and still no resolution after 6 months - for example senior handler Ali - 10th sept tells me as senior he will now take full ownership of the 4 key unresolved issues wish he agreed I had cause for complaint and he would personally come back in writing 11th Sept with agreed actions and resolution dates. .......nothing has happened again!!!!!!! TONIK management /Ali please sort this out !! Nick Gwinnutt one really p****d off customer !
