Feb 09,20219 February - Absymal service. Failed promises and lack of communication. Risk of losing mortgage if you go with them. First of all, it took 2 months to get a call in with my solictor David Isaac. I had to call every day for a week to get the appointment scheduled. Since September I have only spoken to David once and this was December 2020. ONCE! In the call with him in December, I requested a regular cadence of communication and he said he would maintain contact and communication. Well since January I have sent David 5 emails to which he has returned none. He did send me one email which was not addressing my email at all but used a bunch of legal jargon. My estate agents have been hounding me because they can't get hold of him. The estate agents have escalated the matter on their side. An email in January from the estate agents with Victoria, David, myself and the estate agent director, and David still did not have the decency to respond. There is minimum progress on my case file and I genuinely don't believe there is any attempt to do anything towards securing my property. I am now at a position after almost 5 months only 30% of the way through the process. I have chased David and escalated and sent several emails and calls into the office. Being told constantly he is out of the office and someone, namely his Assistant Victoria will call back but hear nothing. My mortgage product runs out at the begining of April and I fear I will lose this. But they have no desire to make haste. Sent my solicitor a lengthy email about my disappointments last Wednesday and today is now Tuesday and no surprise but my email has gone unacknowledged. Generally the service is all round horrible! No matter how many times you tell them the lack of communication is stressing you out on top of an already stressful process they just don't care. Don't bother with Baker Ashley if you actually want to buy a property, they'll take your money and GHOST. COWBOYS!! 10 February - Interesting response from Baker Ashley. My review on Trust Pilot was placed before 09:00am therefore before I spoke with the MD. I felt compelled as I had not heard back from anyone from the company at this point despite my attempts. I'm not understanding the count of 19 swapped emails because they certainly haven't hit my inbox. Indeed I have made one call to the firm since Christmas but I have certainly chased mercilessly on email so ironic that you don't acknowledge that. Might I add I spoke to the MD at 09:31 yesterday and by 17:11 I received an email requesting me to respond within 24 hours to confirm if I would like to "close my mortgage case or transfer to another firm". How insulting that I was chasing fruitlessly for a mere response but within less than a day Baker Ashley are able to make haste to close my case despite 3 emails exchanged with Victoria regarding progressing my case yesterday. I have since responded on email to the MD so I do not think a disputable phone call is necessary. As for not answering calls, it was only one call from Baker Ashley that I missed so it was not plural. Ridiculous!

Feb 05,2021I can't thank Victoria enough for her perseverance throughout the sale of my property. What was probably the most stressful and long winded process due to a slightly difficult buyer and solicitor the other end, was made slightly more bearable due to the assurance of Victoria who worked hard to chase for actions and kept me updated with emails and calls the whole way. Thank you again for your support, so appreciated and would definitely work with Baker Ashley again although I wish I could have used them for the purchase of my new build purchase, but I understand this is something they do not cover. A shame because it would have been nice to keep both processes together as one.

Of 3 house moves and 4 different solicitor companies I've used in the last 4 years, Baker Ashley (and specifically Daniel) were by FAR and away the best at what they do, and in addition, by far the best value as well. Very happy with the service provided, great communication, even during a pandemic they made sure everything ran as smoothly and quickly as possible. Staff are extremely polite, friendly and very professional, they always return calls in a timely fashion. Highly recommended!

Dec 26,2020We moved house at the end of November and our case was handled by Daniel Perry at Baker Ashley. Daniel was incredibly professional and no query was ever too much trouble for him. He always returned my calls and responded to emails promptly and worked extremely hard to solve a number of problems. It was a particularly stressful time as we also had a very young baby and I was dealing with most of the enquiries whilst my husband was at work. Daniel made everything so much more simple and helped me at every opportunity he could. We would recommend Daniel Perry in a heartbeat and he is a credit to Baker Ashley. At times it was a bumpy ride but their professionalism with us, estate agents and other solicitors was always excellent. Dec 23,2020I received a great service from this company! They have helped me as my conveyancers with my first house. Everything went smoothly. Daniel Perry is great at explaining everything throughout the process. He makes it very clear what to expect next throughout the process and that's very valuable, especially for first-time buyers like myself. Our local authority search took a lot longer but that wasn't Baker Ashley's fault. We can blame the pandemic for that. Would recommend them, and definitely use them again myself for future purchases.

Dec 21,2020Daniel Perry dealt with a shared ownership purchase of a flat for my son. Property purchase is always stressful and we had very tight timescales because essentially my son would have been "homeless" at midnight because his rental lease was expiring. We also had a van full of furniture awaiting news. Exchange of contracts and completion occurred on the same day, at 5 pm, so we had 7 hours to spare ! Daniel acted very professionally and I was impressed with his abilities and doggedness under pressure from us and the seller. He successfully concluded the deal, though of course it did go to the wire. Thoroughly recommended

Nov 23,2020Buying your first house can be a very stressful process, and this was definitely the case - especially with COVID. However, Baker Ashley (Arran and Delyth in particular) were both excellent in their service and made the process seem straight forward and kept us up-to-date through each step. I would definitely recommend Baker Ashley to anybody!
