Nov 20,2020We instructed Baker Ashley to assist us with buying our first home. Although the sale went through and there were no setbacks, communication from our solicitor was dreadful and we were left with many unanswered questions about what was going on. Our purchase was quite straightforward overall but we found the process very stressful, especially having to wait weeks for any of our emails to be answered. Unfortunately we definitely won’t be back when we buy our next home.

Nov 10,2020Lisa, Andrea and Jamie provided us with excellent service on our recent house sale. All queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently, whilst communcation was strong as well. Pricewise they also provided excellent value for money and all costs incurred were clearly detailed at the end of the process. The Hoowla software used by Baker Ashley provided good oversight of the whole process, progress was kept up to data by the team and it also enabled to the easy transfer of relevant documents. Thank you very much for you all your help.

The team were extremely helpful and always available to help with any queries, and the online progress tracker was always kept up to date so we were always kept in the loop. They were efficient, and kept me up to date throughout the process, explained everything that I needed to do, informing me about next steps etc. They filled me with confidence, and were always contactable. Would 100% recommend, and definitely use again where needed in the future.

Oct 20,2020Our experience with Baker Ashley was nothing less than superb. Right from the beginning, everything was clearly explained as to how the process would happen. The online tool they have to keep you updated daily when things happen is brilliant as you can see how far along you are, saving the need to chase them all the time. Saying that, if we did need to ask anything specific, we had very timely responses Lisa looked after our case and was brilliant. She always knew what was needed and clearly worked very hard on our behalf Given we bought our house with the added complications of Covid, it couln't have gone any better Would recommend Baker Ashley to anyone

We were first time buyers and often had questions about the information we were sent. Lisa and Jamie were quick to respond to emails and always answered the phone. They were very efficient and got things done as quickly. Part of our deposit was gifted, which made the mortgage application slightly more complicated, but Baker Ashley handled it with no problems. The case management software that we were given a login for (Hoowla) was excellent and helped us to understand where we were in the house buying process and what still needed to be done. We felt that they were very reasonably priced and would definitely recommend them to other first time buyers. Thank you to Lisa, Jamie and the team at Baker Ashley Solicitors.

Value for money on fees, no delays (or evidence that the conveyancer has an unmanageable caseload), prompt and pragmatic advice on tricky issues, and able to keep cool head and manage demands of all stakeholders. Personally very impressed with Lisa Alpin and indirectly with Baker Ashley whom she represented (with some of her colleagues). We will certainly come back.

Oct 07,2020Baker Ashley offer a good service for a reasonable price. Despite everything being online it was relatively easy to sort all the paper work and everything out. The online case system is helpful to see the progress and what is next. The only negative was that they didn’t respond to emails much, I would have to call to get a response and communication in general is a bit poor. As a first time buyer I was left a bit confused as they weren’t always clear. It would’ve been really helpful for them to have been more detailed and respond my questions via email when I asked them rather than ignore them and do the minimum required. Anyway they got the job done and the process only took around 10weeks.
