Jul 15,2020Baker Ashley Solicitors have been a pleasure to work with, they dealt with my first home purchase and made it all as smooth for me as possible. They dealt with the pressure of a transaction that was required to be completed in a limited time frame and kept me at ease that everything would be okay. The purchase was completed through social distancing measures and they dealt with all the difficulties that this implied and made it all easy for me to complete, provide information and the website shows graphically the progress of the process clearly. The only downside I can say is that the final receipt came higher than initially told in my quote. However, I understand that sometimes unexpected paperwork and payments creep up during the process. David and Victoria were very quick to respond to emails, they would keep me updated each step of the way (even if the update was that they hadn't managed to progress any further). Each time I called the office, whoever picked up the phone was really friendly. David is very good at explaining things in a way that made it easy to understand and was very through in his reviewing of enquiries/report and therefore I knew any recommendations made were needed. I would highly recommend Baker Ashley. Moving is a stressful experience but I knew that I didn't need to stress or worry about the legal side of things. No chasing was required and they made my experience buying a first home a good one. Thank you for everything!

Jul 05,2020What a dreadful time to move house - in the midst of this Covid lockdown business. We had early problems with delays, but Lisa Aplin swept them away with patience and understanding, and kept us sane. We wanted to move before lockdown, and she did all she could to make this happen, but other parties wouldn't play. It's fair to think that without Lisa, we probably would have given up the idea - and regretted it thereafter. She kept the game rolling, 100% on communication, always calm despite her own working from home challenges... Thanks Lisa. Maybe we should change the name of the place to Aplin Towers... We'll use you again if we ever move (unlikely!), but will certainly recommend you to others. Very good value for money too. Thanks again - CHRIS

Lisa Aplin in particular was brilliant and kept us reassured regarding our home move throughout the usual circumstances of the recent lockdown. She was professional, helpful and friendly and worked hard under difficult circumstances to ensure our move went smoothly. The portal they use is a great way to see the progress of your sale and purchase. All documents are stored there for easy access. Any questions are answered quickly.
