Jacob, the installer, was great. He is a real hard worker and was here for a very long time. At the end though, we were tired and could not attend to all of the details that he was teaching us. This was not his fault as he is extremely knowledgeable but we are tech challenged and it was late in the day. The install was long, but we got a great deal for the cost. Jacob was wonderful.
CPI security is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The people there have no idea what they’re talking about, they have no idea about how to operate their system, you have employees there that don’t know how to assist you. They have lied to me, they refuse to give me $100 referral fee when I referred my Neighbor because they said I was two days late, which is a total fabrication. Their system would not allow me to do the referral online. I had to go through several days of emails back-and-forth for them to accept it. I’ve been told several times that it was accepted. Now I was told three months later it’s not accepted, and they only willing to give me a one month Credit for my bad experience. Buyer beware. Do not use CPI security. Use anybody else but them. I wish I could give them a lower rating than one star because I would.
The sales folks are great (of course) and you can reach them on the phone immediately. We had an issue with the installation and can’t get anyone on the installation/management side to return our call. Instead I have to wait for another technician to come out then that technician will call a manager. Whereas, I’d like to speak to one myself. After spending a great deal of money, I would expect some support after the sale. Edit: I see CPI responded to my review fairly quickly; however, a day and a half after the response, I still haven't received a call. This is in addition to calling their main number over two days ago and leaving a lengthy message detailing the concerns with an operator for someone to call me. No support after the sale.
Tech communication was excellent. Your application about when tech would arrive was GREAT. System was activated and everything was tested and in good working order. Extremely happy and satisfied thanks
Tika assisted my family with compassion and ease. She was also very knowledgeable in guiding me step by step! I’m rating 4 stars because of the scheduling of my system in my home. I told the lady clear that I would not be home on 11/27 and to schedule my appointment on 12/2. I had to cancel my plans. I spoke with two different people and they confirm it was 12/2. The tech person called on 11/27 saying they were on the way. I was inconvenienced on the day before Thanksgiving because of the failure of the representative to change the date. CPI needs to make they listen and do better! Landon the tech was awesome!
Their customer service sucks. After an alarm went off in my home causing the fire dept. to respond, I called customer service to find out why we didn't get a call from cpi 1st. The agent was extremly ugly and tried to blame us for the problem, even though they had not updated their information in which we provided online. If this was an actual emergency... I can imagine the lawsuit I would have or my family would have if I had died as a result of their negligence! As soon as I can get out of this contract, which they make it impossible to find out how, I will.
So far the customer service has been great! The technician who came onsite was extremely helpful!
We just recently closed on a house that already had CPI hard wired in.I called and spoke with Caleb A to set up my account and schedule a technician to come out, Caleb was extremely helpful and friendly. Our technician Mike S came out this past Saturday and he was great. Explained anything that we needed to know, super friendly and personable and got everything we needed done, handled.
I had setup an appointment for Tuesday but had another salesman contact me and try to jump the original appointment. The guy who tried to steal the appointment showed up and rushed through everything and pretty much went over zero options. Made agreements that were different that what the contract he sent over. When I asked him about it he basically said it’s standard and is what it is. Originally offered no contract, added sensors and doorbell. I told him I’d talk about it with my wife when he came back and told me it’s now a 12 month contract. When I told him I would think about it, he canceled my agreement. The next day, the original salesman showed up and had zero clue someone else tried to take his work. Robert was super helpful and I ultimately signed up with him as he was upfront with me and actually walked us through everything. Very professional and what I would expect from a company wanting to earn business. Only thing I was super disappointed in was the fact the original guy told me I could get a doorbell and Robert said I’d have to buy more expensive equipment if I wanted it. Not sure why Keith promised it and said I could have it with my existing equipment but Robert said I couldn’t add it. Something is fishy about that and ultimately why I still am not pleased with the service.
Calling on a Saturday during the holidays I didn’t expect anyone to pickup, but Cortney H., did and she stayed on the call with me troubleshooting every single possibility until she finally helped me identify and resolve the issue with a door sensor. I couldn’t be more grateful! Amazing customer/tech support!
From scheduling to completion of the appt was easy. Our technician, Chase, was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. When he left we felt that we had a good grip on the system and its features.
My installer was courteous, knowledgeable and offered high level customer service.

My first scheduled appointment was missed due to techs prior appointments running very long. That upset me. But, the rescheduled appointment was great because Pedro was exceptional. Knowledgeable, persistent, patient, professional.
Pedro, our install tech, was incredible! Loved where he put everything and also love how he explained everything! System is working great!
Did not get everything installed that we ordered. Installer rated 5 stars, but CPI rated one. The stuff that was not installed was made aware to the salesperson over a week ago and he said it was straightened out, but it wasn’t.
Ryan Jackson is phenomenal! Excellent customer service and explained in great detail the functionality/benefits of the system and widgets. We appreciate everything he did and feel so much more secure while at home and away! Thanks, CPI & Ryan!
