Aug 09,2024If you are assigned James Pickering, avoid like the plague! Awful communication, incorrect names and prices in most official documents he sent through for signing (which we still haven't received the correct versions of, despite completing a month ago and chasing up 4 times), and made so many errors which then took weeks to correct. We were incredibly unhappy with the service. However, the person that covered James on his week of annual leave (Nafees) was excellent, so I think we just had bad luck with who we were assigned

Aug 06,2024I don't sell many houses, but next time I do I won't be using GD Legal. At the start the communication was frequent and fast, but almost 7 months later from offer a chain free flat sale has still not gone through. They don't answer the phone and take several days to reply to emails, if they reply at all. Communication from Tulsi was terse and technical, with a lack of customer service or helpful advice. I could handle that, but many others would not. Every minor step of what I would regard as 30 minutes of work takes about a week. I am hoping my sale completes, but not confident it will. Every month that goes by, I am having to pay mortgage and council tax on an empty flat. So while they may have seemed cheaper to begin with, take those possible costs into account when you pick your conveyancer!

Jul 26,2024Honestly the best firm I’ve used and I’ve bought and sold many houses now however my experience wouldn’t have been what it was without one particular member of staff who dealt with the sale, Shahla. Everything you could want from a solicitor she was, always keeping me up to date whether that be via email or phone call. She went above and beyond, always to calm, kind and reassuring. I will definitely use GD solicitors again as long as I can use Shahla. Thank you for everything!

Jul 12,2024These lawyers are completely incompetent and dishonest. It is impossible to contact any of the solicitors on the phone and they do not return calls or respond to emails. They are slow to deal with relevant forms and it’s taking months longer to complete on what should be a very easy transaction. Do not believe the good reviews. They offer to pay for poor reviews to be removed or edited. They should be shut down and I shall be reporting them to the SRA in due course. Avoid at all costs. UPDATE Thanks for your reply. I’m pleased to know you’re truly sorry, but rather than your usual generic response, if you’re so truly sorry, why don’t you actually address the serious issues I’ve raised in your reply on here? FURTHER UPDATE You appear to be trying to get my review removed by doubting my review is genuine. I can assure you it is. You are without doubt the worst firm of solicitors I have ever come across.

Jul 11,2024I have had an absolute nightmare with GD Legal. It started off well with my case handler Tulsi being in regular contact but now 6 months on, she's completely uncontactable, never picks up her phone or responds to increasingly desperate emails. In fact my sale fell through a week ago and I haven't heard from her or anyone else from the firm. I'm utterly shocked at this unprofessionalism, which has ultimately cost me thousands. They are certainly responsible for my sale falling through due to lack of prompt response and communication with the buyers solicitor and with myself and I'm not really sure what to do now as no one is responding? Do not bother with this firm, go to someone who might cost a bit more but ultimately behaves in a professional manner. GD Legal, if you can't treat your customers with the courtesy they deserve, stop taking on new ones. Absolutely appalling.

Jul 08,2024Do not use if you care when you move. Complete lack of communication, the app is useless and after months we still have no idea when we’ll be moving. Chain free both sides and months into the process they have only just applied for the searches. Pay a little bit more to get proper legal services who know what they are doing.

Jul 06,2024We are currently in a process with GD Property solicitors and our experience is sadly underwhelming. We were working towards an exchange this coming Monday- 8th July. We have been emailing every week to check on the progress. This Tuesday is was our agency that informed is exchange will most likely be delayed. After emailing our assigned case handler on Tuesday, phoning them multiple times on Thursday and Friday and emailing again on Friday we haven’t been receiving any response. Prior to that, we have not been informed that sellers solicitors have replied to some inquiries which affected our commissioning electricity checks until we chased them and not to mention the lack of attention to detail. In their letters to sellers solicitors they never put the accurate date of when their letter with inquiries is raised. Every letter has the same inaccurate date. Very disappointing . Especially when they go AWOL a week prior exchange was supposed to happen!

This property sale was handled almost exclusively by Tulsi Varsani, who acted professionally (and highly competently) throughout the process. Her timely updates and expeditious action in resolving hurdles was instrumental in progressing the sale to a timely conclusion. Her consultative style, providing me with options to consider, was most helpful (and reassurring) in what is a stressful time. What has impressed me the most, is the ease of communication with GD Property Solicitors; the dedicated app, with the facility to upload information and documents with ease, is, without doubt, the most proficient way to sell a property in my mind. I would like to thank Tulsi Varsani personally for managing the process to our complete satisfaction. For a professional, quality conveyance at a very competitive price, I recommend GD Property Solicitors.

Jul 01,2024Getting in touch with my solicitor has been nearly impossible. I've called multiple times a day (28 times in the last 13 days) and this has been going on for weeks. I've managed to get through just twice, only to be promised a callback that never came. Every time I speak to the receptionist, I'm told my solicitor is either unavailable or in a meeting. Despite assurances that I'll be able to contact her next time, the same excuses are repeated over and over. I no longer trust the information I'm given, as none of their promises get fulfilled. It feels like I'm being pushed to the bottom of their priority list. I'm now considering changing solicitors, although retrieving the completed checks will be a nightmare. I will update my review if this communication issue is resolved promptly. Jun 06,2024I have found the service offered by GD Property Solicitors to be excellent. My case was dealt with by Haroon Mohammed. He is really professional and efficient, and always told me what information I needed to provide in good time, kept me updated about the case's progress, and worked hard to make sure that the sale did not get held up by anything. On top of this Haroon has a calm and reassuring manner; he is patient and helpful and always responded quickly when I contacted him. I would most definitely go back to GD and Haroon if I were looking for property conveyancing. Excellent.

We were very impressed with the level of service they provided and they were also reasonably priced.
