I was waiting for a taxi outside the doctors for over a hour while I was ringing the company they just kept fobbing me of telling me it will be 2 minutes it’s round the corner then they changed it to they dropping someone of then taxi will be with us and then I called again they said there stuck in traffic then I call again and they say there another another job be 17 minutes while we are waiting outside in the cold with our 4 month old son absolute joke of a company should be so ashamed of yourselves!!

Nice to notice they don't allow new comments in their FB site, bloody cowards....So I will write here. Have been using GoCarz for years for airport transfers about every 6 months. There is usually no problem. A couple of times they charge for the driver to go in and greet me, but the driver doesn't go in. But, the last time I was taken to Heathrow on July 18, 2023, there was a cock up with the Airpay system. The driver was abusive and insulting, it was the company's problem! It was absolutely terrifying! The system shows that it was trying to be sorted and paid, but the emails were not going thru. 4 phone calls to the headquarters on record. The driver's name is Steven.

Go carz you are criminals, i booked a taxi and it shows the amount of £12.80 to where i was going and i paid with a apple pay but they took £15.50. On our way the driver stopped the car and call the office to change my fare to £18.40 and i said i am not paying because i am overcharged already but the driver asked us to get out off the car, myself and my little children and my youngest is 1yr, so we had to walk home about 15mins walk and it was in around 2300hrs and raining, very wicked people. I want my money back go carz, you are wicked

Avoid this taxi service! The app gives you a lower fixed price but when driver comes to pick you up charges more citing the app as error and address details. Incorrect statement which I proved with my screenshot. I used app before with no issues. I was going to be charged an additional £10. The operator was sooo unhelpful to the point he hung up on me. Fortunately, the driver understood our situation and reduced the fare to another quote we received.

Generally an ok service but there’s definitely a driver shortage in Shrewsbury which is annoying as they’ve bought out all other local firms. Cancelled three ad-hoc bookings recently when no car was allocated after thirty minutes, despite the home page saying ‘4-minutes wait.’ I’ve just looked to advance book a cab for a journey on a Friday evening and the app quoted £9.90; a return journey later on the evening (2200) for only half the distance quoted £8.00. My enquiring mind looked for the same journeys for a Wednesday evening and was quoted £7.70 and £5.40 respectively. It appears they’re presenting an Uber-style surge pricing system. Not on.

Have used them many times without issue but never again!! Booked weeks in advance for a pick up from Weston park. Called the driver who was 2 mins away but thought we are at a fuel station on A5. Clearly put out at having to come into the park (despite a very well organised pick up system) so he logged himself at at the location then immediately logged that he couldn’t find us and the booking got cancelled!! Called the base to be told that we were not there and no other cars free. Refused to call the driver and left us completely stranded. Will never use them again and will be reporting to the council. Absolutely disgusting behaviour

Booked a taxi with Shrewsbury go Carz more than a week before I needed it as I had a doctors appointment and as we know they are like gold dust to get. Booked the taxi for 2.45pm for a 3.15pm appointment for what would be a ten minute journey. I went on the app to see that they were still looking for a driver. As it was already past 2.45pm I rang up to be told they would be with me in 4 to 5 minutes….fair enough ….except they weren’t!!!! Two text from them over the next 35 minutes saying they were very busy and were prioritising me. What a joke!!!! By 3.30pm still no taxi. My doctors appointment was missed after waiting four weeks for it after arranging. Rang my doctors to explain and apologise. I didn’t get to my appointment but the real disgrace is that because they couldn’t be honest with me and say they weren’t coming I didn’t cancel my appointment which could have been been given to someone else ….they are a waste of space. I may be 75 but I would rather walk the 5 miles than book with them again.

What a rip off, we got a journey from ironbridge to the Roman vineyard, £15.60 - fair enough, that was at 10am, at 2pm we booked with the same company to do exactly the same journey and were charged £26.60! Almost double the price, same journey, rang them before leaving the cab and were told we must have come from Shrewsbury or Telford!! Absolute rubbish! We went from the malt house in ironbridge and returned to exactly the same place at the same time, absolutely a rip off company, shouldn’t be licences , cheats and fraudsters, don’t deserve to be in business, never use them unless you are prepared to be ripped off totally, run by gangsters.

This firm should be called NO GO CARZ ` terrible experience Ordered taxis to and fro an event on Monday for a Saturday evening event. At the time of ordering all was good but I needed to call the, again on sat pm to slightly push back the collection.. the person I spoke with wasn’t convincing so I called an hour later to check change had been made. Lady could then not tell me but she did say this ride should have been prepaid and without prepayment both fares would be cancelled!!! Eventually I called back again and spoke with someone else (as she was unable to tell me the cost even though she was saying it has to be prepaid…) It was def going to be cancelled if I didn’t prepay and they would send me a text with link to payment… I stated couldn’t believe they were so unorganised, why wasn’t I told when I first booked etc but they were just adamant prepay or cancel and their attitude so rude and take it or leave it, I even asked so I pay and what happens if you don’t turn up to which his reply was if you pay we will definitely turn up.. At 6.35pm, 10 mins before our pick up, they called to say they had cancelled our taxis because they do not cover the area we are in after a certain time and in the evening….. that was it there was no compromise full stop cancelled, have to say I lost it slightly but why not. We managed to get a lift from the people in the next Motorhome to us on the touring site we were staying on and whom we had never met, as they obviously took pity on us when we knocked their door in hope all dressed up for a black tie evening event. It gets worse, when we arrived at the event there were many being dropped off as you would expect and just behind us there were 2 GoCarz taxis and when we were eventually collected at 12.30pm by another taxi firm who squeezed us in guess whose taxis were also around!! I have to say I’m not sure if my fares have been taken (£40 in total) as they said they would only show pending, but regardless, this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Try and be organised and book a week in advance and to get let down with 10 minutes to go so no time to sort anything else is just disgusting. Ironically the taxi driver (from another firm who had been recommended but who were too busy for the evening trip- hence using GoCarz) who we used in the morning for the first part of the day asked us if we were sorted for the evening and when I told him he said be careful they have a reputation for just cancelling or not turning up and recommended another firm (who we eventually used after being let down) and the lady who picked us up at 12.30pm said she was not surprised as it happens all the time. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

Absolute shocking service. Booked a taxi 10 hours in advance to ensure I get a taxi home. Taxi doesn't show up, no answer from the phone number to enquire where my taxi is, ask another Go Carz driver to enquire and get a rude response who says he is on call and drives off. I get a call 1.5 hours after my booking time from the company, no good at this point as walked most the way home. I would not recommend this service

The first time I give my comment but it's worth it. I often travel by taxi, but I have not had such a nice and helpful driver like Wiktor. He drove me to the hospital. He helped me with the wheelchair, helped me get out of the car and sit on it. The journey was gentle, pleasant and conducted in an interesting conversation. He asked me every minute how I felt and if I was comfortable. I've never met a driver like this before. May there be more. I must probably ask for Wiktor next time :-)

This is the worst taxi company, booked and got told 20 mins wait then it changes to 40 min then an hour. Even if you book in advance it means nothing, over priced for a terrible service

Disgusting company, nasty people. Do not use. Book a local private company instead. These guys take your money and put you in danger. Trying to be Uber and failing miserably. Sad that they are allowed to trade. Happy to leave female passengers stranded.

I payed for my taxi it got cancelled 5 minutes before it was due I was stuck and the operator was rude worst taxi service ever!!

Had two trips recently both times drivers on time and fare as quoted. Used the app which was great. I daresay they are not perfect but reviews need a bit of balance

Driver was a nice man. I found out that he was getting just 40% of what I was charged. His car, his time, his costs. That seems grossly unfair. There were multiple messages sent to me to say the driver had changed - just in the 20 mins before pick up. Maybe they found out the 24 mile-round trip wasn't worth the money they were being paid. Depressing, actually. I want choice of taxi company and a driver who is earning a living wage.

Do not use this company if you need a taxi on time. Booked 2 days in advance DID NOT arrive and gave no prior warning.
