Dealing with Haus Block Management has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had as a leaseholder. They have continuously ignored serious maintenance issues in our building, including the persistent water ingress. This has been going on for years, yet despite numerous reports and follow-ups, nothing meaningful has been done. The situation has only worsened due to their inaction. Their communication is abysmal—they rarely respond, constantly miss deadlines, and fail to provide the services we are paying for. Each time I’ve tried to get answers, I’ve either been ignored or given vague reassurances that lead nowhere. The high staff turnover only adds to the chaos, as new property managers come and go without any real progress being made. Worse still, senior management is just as unresponsive and unwilling to take responsibility. At this point, it has become necessary to escalate things formally because it’s clear that Haus is either incapable or unwilling to manage the property properly. If you’re considering working with them, don’t. They are unreliable, unaccountable, and an absolute headache to deal with! Stay away!
As a leaseholder in a property managed by Haus Block Management, my experience with this company has been nothing short of appalling. Despite raising concerns for years regarding persistent water ingress affecting the timber windows of our building, as well as the interior, Haus has consistently failed to take appropriate action. Their incompetence and negligence have directly contributed to the worsening condition of the windows, yet they continue to delay, ignore, and evade their responsibilities. Communication is virtually nonexistent, deadlines are never met, and the services we are paying for are simply not delivered. And this culture of inefficiency extends beyond individual property managers—senior management is equally evasive, unaccountable, and unreliable. This constant cycle of inaction and empty promises has left us with no choice but to escalate matters through legal channels, as it is clear Haus has no intention of fulfilling its obligations. If you are considering working with Haus Block Management, think again. Their mismanagement will cost you time, a lot of money, and unnecessary stress. Avoid them at all costs!
Their communication is atrocious. I had to send numerous separate chasing reminder emails to get responses from Haus on multiple occasions. Their online "portal" is clunky, not user friendly, not efficient and certainly not fit for the 21st century. The only way of trying to get any sort of response or progress with issues is to threaten to withdraw payments to them. Avoid if at all possible.

I have been working along side Brenton Steenkamp for a number of years, I am a residential property manager and he is the block manager for a development that I deal with. I have always found him reliable, quick to respond. helpful, professional and polite.
So far my experience with Haus has been very good. I bought a property in a block managed by Haus. While I was surprised that I received no welcome/communication from them after completion of the sale (and I waited about three months), once I contacted them, they responded immediately and attended promptly to the issues - Genavieve Williams got me registered on the residents' portal the very next day after I left a message through their site, and gave a push to the relevant department regarding getting my details recorded on their system (with Nicole Jooste also being very responsive). Separately, I had met by chance one of Haus' building inspectors in the hallway of my block (Jamal Arif) who took it upon himself to try and put me in touch with the property manager for my building when I mentioned to him that I had no contact details for Haus. So overall the staff, whichever department they have been in, have been very responsive and very helpful.

I had a problem signing into the residents portal. I sent a request through their website to advise which web site to use. Genevieve Williams answers my request very promptly and sorted out the problem. All done in a day. Thank you.

Mar 10,2025YET again another failure ...... even after several Complaints and Emails as their Communications Skills is Far Below -0. I have just returned after a while and found out (Glad in away, after nearly 4 long Months) Waiting to fix a broken Main Door, Gladly that has been fixed ..... but clearly No Notification that it would take place.
