If we didn't have Donna Hale as our solicitor we would have pulled out of the house purchase months ago. We were first time buyers and had expected a smooth process as we had no chain - This did not happen at all however Donna was always chasing for us and keeping us updated when she could. This rating is purely down to Donna.

Where to start?! We were not clients of this firm, however our buyer was . . . we were ready to complete on our onward purchase just after Christmas. Premier Property had all our enquiry responses mid-January and confirmed to our solicitors that it would all be sent to the buyers lender for assessment. Over the following 2 months they constantly ignored calls and emails from our buyer, our estate agent and our solicitor. With the very occasional update that, things were still outstanding. But they wouldn't provide more information than that! 1 week before the stamp duty change and they inform us the information was still with the lender for assessment - the info they told us had been sent mid-Jan . . . info that should have been assessed within 2 weeks! Following a 2nd complaint from our buyer, they seemed to move forward. By immediately requesting our buyers mortgage funds and telling our solicitor that we were completing Friday (48 hours notice!) They did not check this was ok before requesting funds and made everyone have to act quickly to ensure we COULD exchange and complete in line with their now enforced timescales. They have to be the most unorganised and useless solicitors. If even their client couldn't get an update from them there is no hope. I also believe from comments made from our buyer that invoices, statements and confirmations were always incorrect at least twice before correct documents were issued to him. They simply can't seem to do anything right first time or in a timely fashion. Avoid - go local and small - these big firms do not have your business at heart.

I had the pleasure of having Donna Hale as our conveyancer for both buying and selling our properties, and I can honestly say she was exceptional. Personally found the e-way system very easy and intuitive to use. Our solicitor, Joanne Davies was incredibly helpful, much more responsive than previous solicitors I’ve used and helped guide us through a first-time remortgage process.

Jeevan worked very quick manager to have my keys in my hand only one month after offer was accepted. Online portal is very handy and efficient for tracking where your at and what needs doing

I can honestly say Krita was fantastic! She really pushed through our chain and allowed us to complete before the stamp duty rise! Saving thousands! Despite my numerous emails and calls asking for updates as I’m inpatient never did I get the feeling of annoyance from her! Highly recommended

Completion done in four weeks. However, found communication difficult as seemed delay in emails being updated on system and therefore to follow case actions. This maybe more noticeable as buyers pushing for a quick sale and so wanted answer replies quickly.

Buyers beware if this is the lawyer for the people you are buying from. Their complete lack of communication drew out my purchase for several months more than it should have done. My lawyers could not reach them at all by phone, emails were not responded to and getting answers to questions was almost impossible. now i am finally in my new home 3 months later they have still not paid over the ground rent i paid in my completion statement. Due to this i am getting chasers and late fee warnings for something i have already paid. they are completely non responsive and have no care as to the financial difficulties they are putting me through for an amount of money that must be a pittance to them. The entire purchase process was made unbelievably difficult by the other sides lawyers and looking at the other reviews it seems like their lack of action affects their direct clients as well. If i ever went to purchase another property and found this company was the other sides lawyers i would immediately pull out. Never again. ** Response to reply - as per my complaint you don't respond to my lawyers, they have been emailing you about unpaid funds for 3 months and you don't pay it or respond so how else are people to warn others! I will be reaching out to legal ombudsman soon as if you don't respond to my lawyers even when they are contacting you then what are people supposed to do!

The process of selling my property went smoothly until the day of exchanging contracts. Up until then I was happy with the system and the contact with my solicitor. One issue was the printing of documents at home, I do not have a printer, therefore the documents were posted out promptly. However during the week of exchange and completion, my solicitor did not tell me they would be on annual leave. Also, the covering solicitor did not contact me to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the day of exchange went badly with a lack of communication between my solicitor and the bottom of the chain. As a result, the exchange did not take place that day. Resulting in a lot of upset and anxiety for me as the completion was supposed to be two days later. The following morning, I called the office to express the urgency, as my movers were booked and paid for. Fortunately, the exchange took place the day before the completion day. I would consider it a courtesy for my solicitor to explain there was a covering solicitor taking over and for the covering solicitor to make themselves known to me and assure me they were up to speed with my case. Thankfully, completion day went smoothly. I am grateful to Petya for her detailed enquiries on the property I was purchasing and for enabling me to move in plenty of time before the stamp duty increase. Had it not been for the very stressful exchange day I would have given Petya and the company 5 stars. Clients need to be informed if someone else is handling their case. Overall I would recommend this company, due to the online nature of the process all documents as easily available in your online account.

Emily in the Hale Team went above and beyond to push through a complicated sale. Her hard work avoided losing a sale at the twelfth hour while dealing demanding estate agents and last minute date changes. I can't recommend her highly enough, her professional and caring approach made a stressful time bearable.
