Mar 29,2025Petya had a difficult time with the buyers solicitors She did a great job Sadly when I spoke to her earlier with regards to apportionment of the standard yearly service charges she insisted she could not do it as they did not have the management pack. Management pack is not applicable in the purchase of a freehold property in Hampstead Garden Suburd and this was confirmed by the trust to her and the solicitor has to do the apportionment not the Trust. So I have updated my experience with Petya

Mar 29,2025If the solicitor is not capable enough, you might end up waiting for a year and getting nothing in the end. Simply put, the solicitor had nearly a year to prepare, but delayed everything until the last minute. They couldn’t meet the deadline, and we ended up wasting time and money without being able to buy the property. When the seller’s solicitor had finished everything, my solicitor didn’t even review my bank statement until the last minute, raising queries only days before the deadline. As a result, the solicitor ultimately informed us that they were unable to continue (just 3 days before the deadline), their email only included 2 sentences without offering any apology. They did not demonstrate sufficient capability to handle the case in a timely and professional manner, and many other reviews echo this experience. Additionally, while this solicitor may seem affordable at first, they often add unexpected charges, which can end up making the overall cost much higher. I found their service to be very slow, and communication was minimal and even rude. We are mentally drained by this experience and would advise against using this solicitor.

Once the process started and the confusion on the fees were finalised, James kept us up to speed mainly through the eWay web link which I found a very useful tool to track progress. His expertise was invaluable as there were some aspects along the way which were time consuming and required guidance.
