Product (Sony Xperia I VI) was brand new as as described. I was fully aware that it was coming from Hong Kong and was kept in the information/ tracking loop. Given current circumstances in Hong Kong, I expected a few delays. Really happy with the product, delivery time and information provided both pre, during & post purchase. Thank you Spectronic.
Extremely unresponsive customer support, didn't reply to emails or phone calls about replacing a defective order (until threatened with legal action). At every step of the process they were frustrating and incompetent, and made empty promises over and over. Completely ignored my request to change the shipping address to a more secure location, over a week of "we'll send the replacement today" without actually sending it, and didn't let me know the tracking information so I had no idea where my order was. If you order from spectronic, just hope the order has no issues or you'll be chasing them down for a month trying to resolve it.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Spectronic AU, and I urge others to avoid the same ordeal. I purchased a phone from them, opting for the extra cost of DHL Express, with the promise of receiving my order within 2-3 days. However, the reality was far from what was promised. To begin with, it took more than three days just to dispatch my phone. When I finally received a tracking number, it was for FedEx, not DHL, and the package was coming from Hong Kong. This was a blatant lie, as I was assured that all stock was located in Australia. The delivery was initially scheduled for Friday, seven days after the order. I stayed home all day, as I was told the parcel wouldn't be left without my presence. By 6 PM, there was still no delivery. After calling FedEx, I was informed that the delay was due to a staff shortage. Come Monday, I received a notification that my parcel would arrive that day. I took another unpaid day off work to be home for it. However, at 2 PM, I got another notification saying the delivery was postponed again. After making five calls to FedEx, I was told there was yet another delay, with no clear delivery date in sight. After nine days without a phone, I had no choice but to purchase one locally due to the continuous lies and broken promises. When I contacted both FedEx and Spectronic AU for a resolution, they were dismissive and unhelpful, essentially telling me it was my problem. I have since requested to cancel my order due to this horrendous experience and the necessity of buying a phone elsewhere. To anyone considering saving a few dollars, steer clear of Spectronic AU. They are not based in Australia as they claim but are merely a drop shipper with absolutely no customer service. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.
