Sep 26,2023Had an amazing two weeks helping look after the rescued elephants at the WFFT in Thailand. Getting up close to feed and wash them has made memories to last a lifetime. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The weekly itinery was good so everyone know which area they were working and who with each day. Making the banana balls and enrichments got easier with practice. Harvest time was hard work, but rewarding once finished with a well earned dip in the river afterwards. The accommodate was basic but adequate and the cold showers were very welcome. The food was plentiful and enjoyable. This was my first volunteer adventure aged 55 and I'm looking forward to booking another one soon. Sep 25,2023Had the most amazing time in Ghana, all the staff were lovely and so helpful . The food was amazing and Felt very safe the whole time as volunteers staff would escort you in evenings (Emannual :))). Laura and Dinha cooked incredible food . Mental Helath Program was amazing, and very educational , met some super inspiring people. Thanks TMR :))

There is flexibility between different volunteering courses whilst you’re out there if you wanted to try a day or two of something else. Excellent service, friendly people, accommodation was nice and cosy and food was really good too! Would 100% be using again for future trips and have already recommended to others !

Sep 25,2023My time in Bali was amazing. It was well organised and so much was covered over the 3 weeks I stayed. For the travel part, our tour guide/driver, Dewa, was beyond helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were all content. When my phone got damaged, Dewa was incredibly helpful in conversing with locals to explain what had happened and what needed to be fixed, and didn't once make me feel bad for taking up his time. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to explore Bali as he's super friendly and knows his way around. I gave 4 stars because the accommodation overall wasn't great, and food service in some hotels was very bad. But overall this trip was super memorable and I'm so grateful for the experience.

Sep 24,2023I went to Sri Lanka with TMR on the two week travel and volunteer experience. Ayomi, Charith, Mamu and Karu were excellent hosts, guides and friends for the whole experience. We were lucky to have Chris, who runs TMR, to come along to our trip which I think made the experience even better. I would recommend this to anyone looking for adventure and a good time!

Sep 24,2023First I didn’t know what to expect before I decided to come to Vietnam. But when I arrived here I didn’t want to leave! Minh, Tran and miss cook and another staff are incredibly kind. They are amazing. Foods, accommodation and the environment are great. Highly recommend. I will definitely go back

Ayomi and her family were all so welcoming, friendly and helpful during my whole stay, as was Chris. Such a wonderful way to gain new experiences, meet like minded people and be immersed into a new culture!

Sep 22,2023Had an amazing time volunteering in Sri Lanka with the mighty roar, if you’re new to traveling solo I’d 100% recommend starting with a volunteer project, the mighty roar felt so safe, there was always staff on hand to help and the area was amazing. There were always activities and events outside of volunteering which offered great opportunities to have fun, make friends and learn about the culture and the people in Sri Lanka. this is definitely a company I’d travel with again, I had a truly unforgettable experience

Sep 22,2023Had the most amazing 2 and a half weeks in Sri Lanka on the mental health programme. Host family were lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, they took us to lots of local points of interest. The mental health programme was very insightful… we visited two hospitals, a herbal clinic and a halfway home. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Sep 21,2023This was my first time travelling and it was extremely well organised, from the airport pickup to the volunteering programmes in the day. I volunteered in the kindergarten which is a 2 minute walk from the accommodation, which is handy and the teachers and children were very welcoming. Ayomi’s family who live onsite have been extremely welcoming to all of the volunteers taking the time to speak with us and tell us about themselves which also calmed my nerves about being in a new country with new people. I shared a room with 6 other girls which was a lot in the beginning but we are like a little family now which is amazing. We all grew very close in the 3 weeks I was there. I just want to say a massive thank you to Ayomi for having me and Karu who led the travelling experience I learned a lot and he was very funny and kind.

All the staff are so lovely, they welcome you into their home and help you embrace this wonderful culture that is so unlike anything you’ve experienced before! Sep 20,2023This is my third trip with TMR and I can’t recommend them highly enough. I am 59 and travel alone, so safety is my main priority. The trips are well organised and the UK team is always there to help - they even remind you frequently. I have just returned from the Bali combined trip (holiday and volunteering) and had a wonderful time. Creating a concrete reef for the generation of a new coral reef was such fun and I learnt so much. I even had the opportunity of releasing the last batches of baby Olive Ridley turtles - amazing. The staff are so helpful, always smiling and the food is great. I dropped a star because of the lack of sleep. The accommodation is home to quite a few dogs, which bark and fight throughout the night. Roosters on nearby properties crow at all hours. I suppose if you were there for a long time, you might get used to it, but for just 5 nights, with the consistent broken sleep, I felt very tired.

Sep 18,2023The local team in India are great and can give you amazing tours of places unknown to tourists. The team in India can help you with anything you may need including sim cards, money exchange, places to go, and transport. I found the other volunteers to be friendly and fun to travel with. The accommodation itself was clean, had AC and good wifi. Although I do suggest that booking tours not through TMR is significantly cheaper.
