I was asked to complete an automated questionnaire from Thirdfort as part of a property purchase by my daughter for which I was gifting some money. While it was reasonably long and quite intrusive it was fairly straightforward to follow. The problem I had is that the questions require a choice from specific answers and there is no freeform opportunity to explain when none of these answers apply. In my case I have been retired for a number of years and the majority of my income comes from dividends accumulating in my SIPP and other investment accounts, which are only withdrawn to my bank account as and when needed. The automated answers wanted me to provide payslips, frequency and amount of pension payments, and recent bank account statements - none of which really evidenced my circumstances - but with no opportunity to explain why. In the end I manipulated things a little to try and provide a couple of extra documents at the end to try and explain more clearly my circumstances. I'm now waiting for a call from the solicitor to check that this has indeed satisfied their requirements.
Excellent customer service
As I had a heads up I needed to complete an identity verification I had all my documents ready. Even so it only took me 12 minutes to download the app upload my documents verify my passport and have the checks completed. Extremely quick and very efficient
The experience was certainly quite seamless and high tech. The only problem I had was when I had to provide evidence of my address which required me to copy and paste the evidence a when I tried this I fell out of the program. My solicitor explained that I should attempt againwhereupon my previous data reappeared. It might well have been my fault!

This system is far too complicated and certainly not designed for those who are not tech savvy.

Impossible to read the passport chip with the phone
Works after a fashion - didn’t allow me to open pdfs and upload them despite being a supported file

Really simple to use app with clear instructions - took only a few minutes and felt thorough and secure.
App is difficult to use. Would not accept my document several times and it froze on reading numbers aloud. Took several attempts and a lot longer than it should. Much easier to just take old fashioned documents and have a human check them. Very frustrating and would not recommend
