Apr 22,2025The self-service pickup was great and we found the car quite quickly. The website and booking manager is good too. Not sure why, but they upgraded us to from the automatic Kia Picanto to an auto Kia Stonic which was a nice surprise so thank you! The car had a little bit of damage here and there when I picked it up but I got the top insurance package. I did tale pictures before driving away just in case. The car was great and with apple carplay we had an easy time driving around in comfort. We were slightly short on time with 1 activity left before dropping off at the airport so I called the lovely customer service to ask if we could bring the car back 1hr late and they said of course no problem... except I forgot to ask if it would be free/cheap as I didn't want to be charged for another 24hrs like most rentals do. In the end we just skipped or last plan and dropped it off on time as we didn't want to risk it. The drop off was great! With the top insurance they didn't even check the car, I just handed the keys over and they gave me instructions on how to get to the airport 5 mins walk away. I didn't cause any damage at all but I still thought they would check, so that was surprisingly nice and quick. Both offices are both easy to find and all the staff were good. All I can say is the price was steep for me being 24years old I had to pay £200 for 2 days rental with top insurance, and fuel for the golden circle came out to £55. The fuel discount card worked although I'm not sure how much it actually saved me. Another good thing about Blue Car Rental is that it didn't charge me a fee to drop off in a different location. Almost all the other rentals charge a lot for this so that was one of the main things that made me go with them, on top of all the great reviews. So yes my only complaint is the price but everything is expensive in Iceland s what can I say

Apr 22,2025Ich kann BlueCarRental zu 100% weiterempfehlen! Es war wirklich alled super unkompliziert - von der Buchung, bis zur Abholung und Rückgabe war wirklich alles super! Wir konnten bereits vorab online einchecken und das Auto mittels Schlüsselbox abholen, was absolut zeitsparend war - somit konnte unsere Reise stressfrei starten, ohne, dass wir zu Beginn gleich lange warten mussten und den ganzen Papierkram noh erledigen mussten. Auch die Rückgabe spät abends war absolut kein Problem. Auch Preis-Leistung war absolut stimmig. Ich werde bei meinem nächsten Island-Trip auf jeden Fall wieder auf BlueCarRental zurückgreifen. Top!!!

Apr 21,2025For everytrip it's important to choose the right car and also the right company that provides it. We had some expectations from our journey so we were trying to find a company that would match the requirements. Finaly I made the decision to choose a car from blue car rental also because of its name and some reviews on internet mainly google. We had some issues that we also needed to sort out as we didn't had a credit card and wouldn't have it on trip so there was the first phase the communication with the company. I can say that this was our first step and confirmation that we selected the right company. The communication was clear, fast and simple which helped us to select the correct car for the conditions of our journey. The electronic checkin was also a great option because it fastened the process a lot and we had everything sorted out even before landing. No additional papers on pick up place, so we knew we save time here. When we arrived at the place we picked up the car which was prepared, clean and just waiting for us. As we received instruction on how to drive on iceland what are the rules, tips for weather and road conditions we knew exactly how to behave. Overall the adventure with help of blue car rental was great we reached every destination we wanted on time and easy. We had no problems with the car and we were driving a lot cca 500 km per day. The checkout of the car was also simple, arrived with the car gave up the keys at the office and said good buy to our Toyota Rav4 For sure on our next Iceland trip we will pick a car from blue car rental as they have different types of cars for different options. We were very lucky with our pick of the company and the car.

Apr 19,2025Advance check-in made the pick-up process very easy, it's never fun to hang around at the airport after you've landed and Blue Car Rental have it nailed. The staff were very helpful and we even got upgraded. Additionally, the price was very reasonable (especially considering how expensive everything in Iceland is). I'd definitely use them again if we visit again.

Apr 18,2025Nothing to complain about Blue car rental! Everything went great and smoothly from the booking, check in, pick up and drop off. I love the fact that check in can be done online and you literally just can go straight to pick up your car without the need to enter the office. They send you out an email of your rental agreement with pictures of the damages of the car, but I got the full insurance so I drove worry free while in Iceland. Car was really cute, very clean and it drove very smoothly all around Iceland. I even named the car Rene (short for Jeep Renegade) because it was just so perfect!

Apr 18,2025Wonderful experience. Even had an issue with the first vehicle and they gave me a new, identical replacement one no questions asked and even helped move our luggage between the cars. Having a WiFi router was invaluable for us. I tell people about them and would absolutely use them again

Apr 16,2025After deliberating over various providers and reading countless reviews of bad customer experiences from other companies, we decided to pay a little more for peace of mind and it was arguably the best decision. Lots of communication and clear instructions were received. The pick up point was an easy walk from the terminal, and an automated key pick up process was extremely easy. Dropping the car off at the end of the trip was just as smooth. Cannot fault the process or experience at all. Would use again and highly recommend.
