Feb 28,2025Constantly have to ask for updates. Don’t keep you informed you always have to be the one chasing. Incorrect information left on voicemails and emails which then you have to chase and correct. Which is difficult as they only have one phone line which 9/10 will go straight to voicemail. Would never use them again, if I had known to begin with I would have used another solicitor.

Feb 28,2025Really disappointing to be honest. She was not very good at explaining each step of the process or what was required of each party at different stages. Her emails were short and sharp, to the point of rudeness. She seemed to struggle to answer a lot of questions, opting to ignore many of them and give very short unclear answers to the ones she did choose. Even after asking 2 or 3 times, she would sometimes have not given a clear answer and would start saying things like "I've already told you that", when she hadn't actually. When challenged on her tone, she argued back and told us she was simply being "concise", but concise means delivering all the information efficiently, not being confusing or omitting important points. On completion day, she was still asking for documents by email in the morning when she had previously told us there was nothing else outstanding on exchange date. She was messing with the financial statements in the app, which made it look like there were further funds due when they were not. She then got annoyed with us when we questioned the statements and told us that we needed to double check them, not her, despite the fact she had previously told us no funds were outstanding and then sent another "amount due". She neglected to inform any of the other solicitors in the chain that our sale proceeds had been received and sent on to the purchase - I had Agents from both side contact me around 1pm to say they hadn't heard anything and were worried that completion wasn't going to happen today. I gave them the update that I had had, but then we never heard anything from Tavia again that day. She did not call us to tell us our purchase had completed, we found that out from the estate agent. We actually have still not had a call or email, 2 days later, to let us know everything is completed, she just updated the documents on the app and has left it at that. Terrible service, made an already stressful process more stressful, and made us feel like we were a burden to her every time we had a query, instead of putting our minds at rest when spending such large amounts of money. Edit - just found out that she also decided to remove the early repayment fee from our mortgage settlement on our sale because she didn't understand the terms properly and misapplied the exemption. So now we owe another £1200 back to the bank, which should have come out of the sale proceeds, but we have to pay it out of our savings instead. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.

Feb 27,2025Found so far, the process has been hard work. My advice, if you have any form of gifted deposit. Do not use this firm. The software used, is not entirely user friendly, especially for the older generation. My father found that due to having the funds hes gifting me for a long time, the system doesn't cope. And it's delayed the process a lot. I have also twice received a chaser email from my conveyencer, asking for a vague document, with no explanation! I have actually used this company before, in 2020. I have been disappointed with the service so far. And dreading now doing my sale with them this time round. They are fairly quick to respond however, they do not answer phone calls, only emails. So, if you are someone who prefers this, I wouldn't recommend them. **edit** we have just been advised that a married couple, for which share a bank account, have to complete separate forms, id checks and the ridiculous system checks.not only does that mean paying 3 lots of gifted deposit, setting us back £495 extra, it also means we are delayed further as its taken well over a week to even state that we have to have the additional forms. I haven't even completed my purchase, and I wish I'd not used this firm. Let alone started my sale (awaiting MoS)

Feb 27,2025This was the third time I was using Premier Property Lawyers, as my previous two purchase attempts fell through. Overall my experience with this firm had been great. My previous cases were handled by Rachel Nye and Annie Longmuir, both of whom have been great, provided timely updates and I was able to get them on the phone when needed. My third case initially had a bit of a rocky start. As I was a first time buyer and had two purchase attempts fail already, I was keen to speed up the conveyancing process. As part of that, I wanted searches ordered straight after payments and not wait for draft contracts. The sales team advised that this was possible. However, once I have had my file opened, my assigned conveyancer refused to do so, despite multiple push backs from me. This was particularly frustrating as the T&Cs also stated that the firm will be ordering searches straight away to speed up the process, but the conveyancer did not budge. Since I didn't feel like I could work with that particular conveyancer anymore, I contacted the sales team to assign me a new conveyancer. At that point I was close to leaving the firm as I feared more delays could be caused. But I am very glad I stayed. My new conveyancer was Laura O'Neill and she was absolutely fantastic to work with. Laura consistently went above and beyond to push my case forward and keep me in the loop. At the end of each week, she would call to check in, even if there wasn't much movement on my file which I really appreciated. She answered emails promptly and was always easily reachable. She also frequently gave me a heads up if another document would be send soon and would follow up after sending things. This was very reassuring and put me at ease after the initial issues I faced with the previous conveyancer. Laura really took much of the stress out of the conveyancing process all the way to completion. I can't recommend her highly enough! In terms of improvements that the firm can make, I would recommend: 1. Review training of conveyancers with particular reference to your T&Cs, so requests to order searches on day 1 do not lead to issues. 2. Improve complaints processes. There is no direct number to raise complaints promptly, only formal processes that take too long. At the very least, provide the phone number of the supervisor, so clients can reach them directly in case of problems. I have had to go through the sales team to get my issue resolved quickly and they were engaging with the conveyancers on my behalf. At this point I should mention Thomas Elliott from the sales team who went above and beyond to help me through the initial problems I was facing and engage with the conveyancing team on my behalf.
