Mar 02,2024I ordered some steak and when it arrived I thought it looked a little small as I had purchased a 32oz steak. I decided to weight it just to see if I was wrong. It weighted only 25.5oz so significantly less than stated on the packaging and also for what I had paid for. I have tried to contact them by email but they have not bothered to reply. If you buy from them please make sure you weigh all the meat, they clearly deliver meat weighing less than you pay for. Deliberate or a mistake? if it was the latter I would have expected to have had a reply to my emails which I have not, so one can only assume deliberate. I will now be informing trading standards as I don’t want anyone else to be deceived.

Mar 01,2024Shoulder of lamb was good, as was the mince, but the lamb chump chops were all fat and bone, and although they were on offer looked nothing like the ones pictured on your website.Out of the 14 I got in 2 one kilo bags, 9 went in the bin

Feb 12,2024Lee the fella who is the main at Maidstone was warm welcoming and couldn’t help us enough. We purchased a whole leg of lamb two packs of chicken some wings and some sausages. I cooked the lamb on the day and it is by far the tastiest bit of lamb I’ve had so far. The chicken absolute gorgeous I gave it only some salt and some rosemary both my mrs and daughter commented on how nice and flavourful the chicken was. I will no longer be going to a supermarket for our weekly meat. Thank you

Feb 08,2024I arrived at store to be told duck breasts that were ordered had not arrived but should arrive 2 days later I said that was fine and I would collect later in week. Tried to call store to no avail. Went into store to be told that items were still not there but I gave my number for them to call and let me know what is happening. 5 days later still no call.

Feb 04,2024Brought a leg of lamb and some other bits, the leg of lamb smelled so bad we’ve actually thrown the whole leg away, there is no way we could even cook it, we also brought rib eye steak from them, it was so tough, it was only good to cook in the slow cooker as a casserole, will not be wasting any more money with this butcher
