I’d be inclined to believe the one star reviews on here. Why? 1. Read up on them on the Guardian website - multiple complaints on there about their tactics and mistreatment of customers 2. Caught one of their guys trespassing on my property today, wandering around my backyard and taking notes on my Calor LPG. And then doing a dangerous 3 point turn on my driveway, where he was parked illegally. Don’t believe their ‘family business’ lines - they are unscrupulous operators and need to be called out on this.
HI MY NAME IS MRS JONES I LIVE IN WIGTON IN CUMBRIA I WAS WITH A NATIONAL SUPPLIER FOR OVER 8 YEARS FOR MY LPG SUPPLY THE SALES MAN FROM CARLISLE CAME IN WHEN PASSING HE WAS NOT PUSHY LEFT ME ALL INFORMATION I DIDN'T BELIEVE THAT THE PRICE COULD BE RIGHT AS I WAS PAYING 58PPL PLUS VAT MY PRICE WAS REDUCED SIGNIFICANTLY AND WAS ALL VAT PAYED AND FREE BREAKDOWN COVER REALLY EASY TO DEAL WITH AND NEVER LET ME DOWN SO FAR THE PRICE DID GO UP AFTER YEAR 1 BUT I WAS SURPRISED TO SAY IT DID GET REDUCED NOT LONG AFTER ANY TIME I HAVE NEEDED ANYONE THE GIRLS AT THE CARLISLE OFFICE HAVE BEEN GREAT AND ANSWER STRAIGHT AWAY.
My name is Gary Pollard. I signed up to NE's customer loyalty scheme on the understanding, based on what the Company told me, that they would provide oil boiler engineers in the event they were needed and for an annual service. The scheme sounded good. I ordered fuel oil on 12 02 2018. On 15 02 2018 I needed an engineer and called NE and I understood that I would have to pay for the service since the call out part of the Scheme hadn't started to apply. I was quoted £105 for the service and given the number of an engineer. The NE representative told me I would receive an invoice. I called and quickly realised the engineer wasn't an employee of NE but on the basis of what I was told believed he would be the Company's agent. The Company told me the engineer was new to it but "very good". The engineer set his timetable for attendance at my house and gave a window of two hours i.e. 1500- 1700hrs but arrived an hour and twenty minutes late anyway. He didn't replace the oil filter which was inclusive to the service, replaced a Drayton Diverter Valve Actuator Assembly with a Worcester Bosch equivalent and then said the service was £80 and the valve £150. I didn't know what the unit was and paid by cheque and when he left discovered the Drayton unit retails at £36 and the WB unit retails at £89. I felt I had been ripped off. I called NE today and was told the engineer was just a recommendation and none of the Company's responsibility. I pressed the point and was told the Company doesn't assess the work of engineers in any way, which I say is no basis for a recommendation. I found the Company's representatives, bar one young man, to be mildly hostile and foolishly argumentative and unwilling to accept any responsibility at all. I sorted the issue out directly with the engineer who suggested a significantly reduced fee. I explained to NE that I won't trouble it with my money again. I suggest customers and potential customers take this information in to account.

Prompt deliveries, good price and by joining their monthly plan we get automatic fill ups, annual service and boiler breakdown cover. Always get back to you promptly if you need to email them. Great customer service team

Apr 11,2019This company is totally a rip-off. first they were charging me double wht the other companies were charging for propane. Second, I have been trying to get them to remove their tank for 3 months and it is still here. I would recommend anyone considering doing business with this company look elsewhere.
