Dec 05,2023This company is realilly approachable, knowledgeable and always helpful. They seem to be large enough to have the resources they need to be effective while small enough to have a personal relationship with customers. I do not know how their prices compare with other suppliers - I never bother to check the competition because Northern Energy are trusted to do the job.

Nov 28,2023Caution is advised! On October 30th, I unexpectedly received an invoice for a property we vacated five months prior. I was unfamiliar with Northern Energy, as the landlord had switched suppliers after our departure. Throughout October, I faced persistent demands for payment, despite there being a standard 28-day payment period for invoices. To my surprise, Sophie Core from the credit control team took it upon herself to email my ex-landlord, attempting to portray me as unwilling to pay and seeking his assistance to get me to pay, even though the invoice was not yet due for payment. This behavior struck me as opportunistic. Despite bringing the matter to the attention of one of the directors, my complaint yielded minimal response.

Nov 28,2023The inspection cover on our lpg tank could only be opened part way due to seized piano type hinges. I have today managed to open the cover all the way and have now lubricated the hinge with a light anti corrosion grease. However, I say to myself what service do I receive from the annual tank rental cost? This lpg supplier is no worse or better than other suppliers. When the technology improves (and it will) I will install an air source heat pump. The boiler is already entering its twilight phase of life.

Nov 15,2023We have been a customer of Northern Energy for many years. I have always found the staff very attentive and courteous. Speedy delivery when needed. Nothing too much trouble , a problem with a "tripped" external valve was dealt with and rectified within 24 hours. Highly recommend.

Nov 14,2023Always quick and helpful when I call but am unhappy when originally told that deliveries scheduled when tank goes below 25% where as it was 12%when delivery came I appreciate that you know form historical consumption when it becomes essential but it still makes me nervous especially when it gets below 20% as I have a steep drive and your delivery options are restricted to a small tanker What heppens if we have snow on the drive?

Nov 14,2023I've found the customer service team to be very 'human' in their approach and very quick to find the right answer for their customer, and not just for their business. I needed to make a call yesterday as we have built up a credit with the direct debit. It was quickly sorted and with zero debate or push back as I've got quite used to from other utility providers! (I do find on the whole other companies can be very keen to hold on to any credit balance and like to argue a point, but this one was dealt with so quickly and efficiently. I was also put straight through without spending ages on hold). We've had LPG supplied now for probably around 10 years with them and in the past I've also had conversations about debit balances, which were handled with equal thoughtfulness. I have really appreciated that they all seem like genuinely nice people!

Nov 13,2023Worked for this bog standard company if your face didn’t fit u have no chance or do what David says they basically want you to live there and have no life, also if you have days on sick they expect you to pay them back never heard of that in the 30 years I have been working and they don’t pay sick so how’s that work ,also trucks are run to the ground there’s lots of other places to get your oil that are better than northern energy

Sep 07,2023Have only just started with them for LPG - no choice really aa the site negotiated the deal way before o moved in. Had to speak to them on the phone to ask a couple of questions and it was like service used to be in the olden days. No call queuing or button pressing. Just got through to one person who answered all my questions. It was a pleasure to deal with her. As I say it’s early days so see how things go.
